Chapter 3

Why?

One of the things that I love is that excited felling that I get in my bones as I am waiting for The Doctor out the front of Stormcage, but I didn’t feel it this time, this time I felt scared and nervous and I didn’t really want to find out why but as I heard that wheezing noise and felt that rush of air that I once loved, I knew instantly. Was it the eyes I felt watching me? Or maybe that suddenly rain started coming down, hard? But mostly that the TARDIS doors were not open, and a smiling 11th Doctor was not standing there…
The TARDIS started making a funny noise, and I understood what she was trying to tell me, RUN!! But I didn’t I stood shaking my head “Why?” I whispered. Those TARDIS blue doors opened and reviled a control room with The Doctor trying to leave; Leave me. “WHY!!” I screamed my presence now announced and The Doctor jumped and ran to the doors. “I’m sorry” He muttered, crying. “Please?!” I said not yelling this time but more of a beg. “No… NO!! Don’t use your powers on me Jasmine! STOP!!” He tried to run back into the TARDIS but I used my telepathy to make him stay, so he only managed a few steps backwards. I heard a gun-shot; it seemed close a little too close. The Doctor gasped and I looked down, fresh blood was pouring out of my shoulder “Oh” was all I managed. I spun around releasing my hold on The Doctor who fell to the ground; I clicked my fingers and a flame sprung to my palm, I controlled the flame to flick light into the darkness around me but before I saw anyone the sickening scream from the TARDIS came again, my stomach sank… the doors were closing, but before I could say a thing a golden light (Kind of light the light you see as The Doctor regenerates) started to pour out of the TARDIS, towards me. It hit me full in the chest and I stumbled backwards, the warm light of the fire vanishing.
