The Rising Sun

21 5 1

In the land of the rising sun
Echo the voice of crying moms
They watch in grief then fade away
As souls depart their dying sons
The sun a crimson shade again
All the blood been spilled again
By monsters wielding heavy guns
Killing us with glee again
Dig our Earth, uproot our seed
Bodies hang on trees again
Like clothes left to dry in sun
Things were not the same again

Still, in the land of rising Sun
The heat will rise a new degree
All the shadows fall behind
When we face the rising sun,
There comes a shout of Jubilee
We will raise up fighting sons
Robed in rays of light and hope
Cause half a yellow sun gives hope
of what tomorrow can become
