Harry's POV

-

Of course they think we are monsters! Just because we are different, we're evil. Yes, we are powerful but that doesn't mean we always use it for bad things.

I kept thinking about what Prince Louis had said earlier before we left for hunting. That's another point, how is having powers worse than killing innocent lives? It isn't. People are wrong about us. He hasn't even met one of us. How could he say that? Why does this have to bother me so much? I hate that I can't just ignore things like these.

With all these thoughts roaming around my head, I forgot to keep up with everyone else. When I looked up, I was in the middle of the woods with no one around. It was beautiful and I could hear running water nearby. I didn't understand how everyone just didn't notice I was left behind, but I hardly cared. I'd just meet up with them later. Right now, I guided the horse to where the running water was.

When I got there, I gasped at the scenery. It was beautiful. There was a waterfall there. A thin layer of fog around. The soil was wet and covered with long, green grass. The trees were long and old. The air was moist and every leaf and petal had water droplets on them as if it had been raining before. There was a pond under the waterfall with the cleanest water flowing in it. The place was filled with birds and butterflies and little animals and insects. It was so colorful there, mostly green.

I didn't understand how I found this place or if anyone had found it before, but I was here and it was the most wonderful thing ever.

I got off my horse then walked further in and sat down on a stone at the edge of the pond, still looking around me in complete awe.

I sat there for a few minutes, appreciating the dreamy view. I must have been lost in the beauty so much, I didn't hear Louis call from a distance. He walked closer and stepped on a branch, making me turn my head towards him. He made his way to the stone and sat next to me.

"It's beautiful here." I spoke up when he didn't.

"It is," he smiled, turning his face towards me. "People say it's a sacred place created by the most beautiful, powerful princesses. Nobody has confirmed it and no one knows what they were but they did a great job if it were them." Then he turned his head back towards the waterfall.

"Yeah," I sighed. I was looking at him. I was staring. He looked so striking, just sitting there. His hair fell down covering his forehead. His eyes sparkled and reflected the water perfectly. He licked his pursed lips and...

"So, the weather-" I whipped my head back to the waterfall.

"It's not always like this. Somehow, it's prettier in the sun." He replied, his eyes fixed in front.

Oh Merlin, did I actually just start a conversation about the weather? What is wrong with me? I thought.

"You've been here before?" I asked. It was more of a unclear statement but.

"I have. This is the only place I come to visit when I actually make it out of the palace." He replied so simply.

"I would too." I replied and he hummed.

"You're a fairy, aren't you?"

"What!" I turned my head to him so fast, I thought I'd strain my neck, but he was calm.

"That's what bothered you when I called you- you know."

Oh my god! What should I do? What's happening right now? Is this where he kills me? I wouldn't even get to say goodbye to anyone. No one would ever find me here. Would he kill me in a sacred place?

"Don't worry."

TOO LATE!

"I wouldn't say anything." He kept a hand on my back, making all my thoughts disappear. His hand was warm and seemed to sent the heat all over my body. I felt tingles where his hand was and then I felt the heat creep up my neck to my face.

"Oh-" I nodded. "Why not? I thought you said magical creatures were dangerous."

"No. I said my father told me they were." He corrected me. "I don't think you are dangerous."

"But you don't know me." I said in a whisper even when no one else was around.

"No, I don't. So if you plan on bringing wrath upon our lands, keep me out of it." He joked and I chuckled. "What kind of fairy are you?"

"Earth fairy."

"Earth fairy?" He repeated with confusion, waiting for me to elaborate. I re-seated myself, turning towards a tree. He looked at me with the most unreadable expression that I didn't try to understand. His gaze made me nervous and I tried my best not to show it. I nodded towards the tree, making him look there.

"Why are we staring at the tree?" He whispered in my ear and I smiled at the feeling of his warm breath on my skin. I felt the heat creep up my neck again. I knew I turned pink but I couldn't help it.

Without another word, I turned to the tree. My fingers moved and so did the buds on the tree. Louis gasped when white flowers bloomed in front of him and ran towards the tree. I made sure they were big and beautiful, fully bloomed and falling down and followed him. He picked up one of the flowers that had fallen on the ground.

He didn't say anything, just looked at the flower with wide-eyes.

"I know." I bit down my lip and he beamed at me.

He stuck the flower in my hair.

"It looks good with your curls." He smiled and I returned it, blushing at the compliment. I bent down and grabbed another flower and tucked it behind his ear. His smile grew bigger and his eyes disappeared behind the crinkles under his eyes. His smile was the most beautiful thing, it was like the sun itself, shining so bright.

"It looks good with your smile."
