Louis

-

It had been four days since Harry and I have actually had a conversation because of the practice going on, but we still smile and nod to each other everytime we see eachother.

It kind of upsets me that I don't get to talk to Harry for longer or just look at his face and his dimples and the eyes, but I don't get why.

One thing I did know was that I enjoyed the feeling I get everytime the prince  smiled bright at me. Whatever it was, the things I felt was worth the confusion.

Today was first of all the games. All the royals had arrived and settled in already. It included five males and three females who were to participate today including prince of Yorkshire, being Louis and prince of Worcestershire, Harry.

The day was taken over by the horses being taken care of outside the stables for the horse ride and right now Louis was looking over to Harry soothing his horse.

He had refused any help since the keepers used the whip to train the horse to listen to their masters. Harry had denied it immediately and told the man to not call him the horse's master but friend. He had told them he'd rather be whipped first before he'd let the hurtful rope anywhere near the sweet, innocent creature.

I just admired how he was and the way he thought. There was no doubt the prince is beautiful inside out.

In the cold weather the boy's somewhat pale skin had tinted pink and his hands were the only exposed skin, just like always. His hair were long and he had to tuck them behind his ear every few minutes because of the wind. I stole a few glances at him ever so often, smiling at how he gently talked to his horse, running soothing circles behind it's ear.

I walked up to them after petting my horse, Dakota and telling her to stay. When I got there, Harry was telling his horse something about treats as the animal's limbs moved in joy.

"Bribing the horse for winning, are we?" I joked, causing Harry to look up and flash that pretty smile of his.

"Dusty here doesn't need bribing in order to win," Harry stated proudly.

"Yeah?" I grinned, crossing my arms over my chest. He just nodded in reply. "Well, sorry to tell you this, prince but me and Dakota are definitely winning this race," I said.

"I don't need a win in a race, but I am getting it for sure," he replied in a playful seriousness as he petted Dusty.

"We'll have to see about that."

"That we will," he replied and we chuckled a little before I walked back to Dakota. The creature seemed happy and confident about the race and so was I.

We got to the starting point and waited for the instruction to start.

I didn't win. Neither did Harry. When we were racing, we all saw a horse take of as fast as wind. I felt sympathetic for the horse because it was being hit everytime someone got near it. It was cruel to injure anyone for your own good, in a thing like a race included. Although the horse did get some rest, Harry seemed quite worried even when he couldn't see it, he seemed on edge. I'd say he hasn't seen anything like that before.

He would never hurt anyone, which seemed pretty obvious but I honestly think he hasn't seen anyone harm anything. He was the purest being ever and maybe its because he hasn't been near the bloodthirsty acts of some humans.

It was clear that Harry was holding back all through the race. He says he wasn't but I think he didn't want the horse hurt because of him. I could just see it when he kept looking at the poor animal and decreasing his speed and I followed. Not just because of Harry but because I didn't want that either.

Right now, we were all sat for dinner. The people chatting amongst them selfs as they ate, except for Harry, who still seemed disturbed. The action must have really got to the boy, he was just as much part of the nature as the creature. I wonder if he could sense the animal's distress.

Harry played with his food for a while and I just looked at him with a worried look once in a while but he'd just look up and fake smile at me.

"What's wrong?" I whispered to him after some while, knowing what was wrong already.

"Nothing," he said before sighing and meeting me eyes, "why are they celebrating the win? Buckeye was hurt. He was limping when I saw him being put in the stables. How can they be happy knowing they've hurt a sweet animal like that?"

He really was the sweetest boy ever.

I sighed before leaning towards him more and whispering, "tell you what, when we finish the food, we can go meet Buckeye. We'll have to be really quiet but something tells me you already know exactly what to do," then I  pulled back a little to see the little prince's face and did I thank myself for it.

His cheeks were pink and he was smiling for the first time since the race. He looked back at me and I noticed the little hopeful light in his eyes was back. He looked like a little kid allowed to have a toy after being denied.

"Really?" He asked, excited.

"If you want to," I replied.

"Thank you!" He said louder but still hushed so he didn't grab too much attention. I just nodded towards him. His pretty lips were curled up into a smile as he waited for everyone to  finish already.
