Hiiii!

This is a very very simple tutorial, (and tbh not my best work hehe :'<), but basically this is how to transform your cover to a netflix poster.

I spent some time checking fanmade edits and actual netflix posters, so here's a summary before I start :

- majority is either simple or manip; vectors / illustrated ones are super rare, because we must show the main character in the poster

- must show the main character's full face in the poster

- titles must be big and readable

And all the other elements will be explained in the tutorial!

*also small disclaimer : I am so sorry if the text in the screenshots I will show below are small, I didn't expect it to look this small from far away

1. Make your base, add the title and the subtitle only

2. With a small sans serif font, type 'a netflix original movie/series' and you can put it either on the top/bottom of the poster

3. Make the font slightly bigger and add a random date or maybe the date you want to release your book, then put it around the 'a netflix original movie/series' text

4. Put the netflix logo next to the date you have added (just look up 'netflix logo' on the internet and then remove the black background on ibispaint and save it as a transparent PNG on a separate canvas)

5. Add the ruler tool and rotate it until it's vertical

6. Sample the red color of the logo then draw a thin line (use dip pen, size 2.0) between the date and the logo

0) between the date and the logo

7. I then rearranged the date and the logo so it's centered now

8. Then, add 'starring' and 'directed by' in small fonts around the bottom or the top of the poster

9. Then below starring, add your main character's name or the celebrity you used as the cast; then below directed by, add your name. You can play around with the fonts to match the title as well

Done! You can play around with the layout too

That's the tutorial for today, thanks for tuning in!

I'm still trying to update more consistently, but I've been having troubles doing so. On one hand, I'm currently addicted to my recently downloaded RPG game and playing it every night until 2 a.m. with a certain someone 👀 (which is fine, I can still fix that issue), but then sometimes I get unconfident with myself. Like, there are times I hesitated about my ideas or putting off chapters because I hate how the end product looks; or when I open a blank canvas on ibis to make a new tutorial, I didn't like what I made, deleted it, and put if off for so long.

But anyway, all of your supportive comments really helped improving my mental health and confidence and I am utmost grateful for it, so I want to say thank you again. You guys are the best ❤❤

I guess that's all I have to say for today, bye!
