"Chifuyu Matsuno?" called the teacher.

"Absent," responded our class officer.

Did he ditch classes or is he sick because of what happened a while ago?

This is the first time he is absent in class without telling me or Baji what happened.

I looked at Baji and showed him my hand imitating scissors.

"You are insane," he whispered.

I wrote something on the paper and passed it to my seatmate.

"Give it to Baji," I said and they nodded.

We leave before English time.

He looked at me gave me a thumbs up. He knows the drill. I quickly put my bag by the window.

"Before the English teacher goes in, push my bag out the window. Got it?" I said to my classmate.

They nodded, agreed to do what I said.

"Thanks, I'll give you answers when finals come," I said.

The bell rang. I looked at my classmate, signaling him to push my bag.

I hope Baji didn't get caught. I made my way through the exit that no one knows, aside from the three of us.

I got my bag that was left on the floor. I looked up to see Baji who jumped out of the window.

"Run!" he shouted.

I ran as fast as I can. My legs started to feel worn out, my heart is racing fast. I caught my breath waiting for Baji.

"Baji, what happens if you repeat another year?" I asked him. I thought of his mom.

"I wouldn't get repeated, my grades are now... Alright?" he said.

"But you would get suspended," I said looking at him and gave him my water bottle.

"It's fine! I would take a risk if it is for my friends," he said smiling at me and patted my head.

"Let's go first to the pharmacy store," I said.

"What if he is not sick?" Baji asked.

"I know he is, I met up with him before dawn and it was raining lightly."

"Look, he even gave me his jacket," I continued and showed him Chifuyu's jacket.

"Then let's get going," he said.

"But you're going to pay for it, 'Kay?" he said laughing at me.

"Yeah, yeah, I will," I said and walked through the pharmacy store.

I bought the medicines and some snacks. Baji added fruits so he can regain his energy.
