NOTE: This is an AU oneshot. The barrier was never made and the villains lived by themselves in the woods.

I warn you, this contains some She-Ra and the Princess of Power references :)

She threw the empty glass of water in front of her at the TV. "Royal breakup? We will let you know soon if things between King Benjamin and Lady Audrey are really okay or not. Stay tuned!" She hated gossip. And she hated royals. More than anything.

"Mal! Come down here, now." She went down the stairs to find her mother more than angry.
"What up?" she asked.
"What was that noise?" Maleficent asked, looking her daughter straight in the eyes.
"I uhm I threw a glass of water, I'll clean up."
"You better."

Mal was about to go back in her room but her father blocked her. "You all okay? I heard a noise of something breaking." He said touching her face to make sure she was all right.
"Yeah dad I'm okay. Could you... stop touching my face?" Hades immediately stopped and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek.
"You are pathetic, Hades. Get out of my house." Maleficent said standing right before them.
"Yeah well, at least I'm not a sociopath. And it's my house too, by the way."
"Don't fight you two. I was kinda hoping that you would at least fake to love each other in front of me." Mal's voice became lower, maybe in sadness.
"Why would I? I don't love this pathetic asshole. He just lives here because you're here Mal. You know that." Maleficent was, as always, cruel.
"Whatever."

Mal went back to her room where the TV was still on and cleaned up the little mess she made earlier. On the little screen there was the Beast, former King Adam, who was talking about some failed plan to build a barrier to put all the villains. "He wanted, and still wants, to lock all the villains up without giving them a slight second chance and yet, we're the villains. What an asshole. I hate him." She thought sitting on the bed. They were kind of exiled in that ancient castle, like all the others in other castles, so an island with a barrier around it wouldn't have made a difference. It wasn't her fault she was born daughter of two villains after all. But she liked it.

Later that afternoon, while her mother was trying some spells – that always failed – and her father was napping, someone knocked at the door of the castle. The Evil Queen with her daughter Evie? It wasn't possible, they only visited on Saturdays and that was a boring Thursday. Maybe it was Jafar with his son Jay, trying to sell some things that they had stolen around, but then again, they usually came on Mondays. Was it possible being Cruella de Vil with her son Carlos? Maybe they needed some help to wash their car or Carlos had brought Mal the phone she asked him to fix. But he was frightened by Maleficent, he never could've come alone.

She went opening the door and, like she thought there was no Evie, or Jay or Carlos but she was surprised, a lot.
"Is this a joke?" she asked standing still.
"I hope not. And you are?" there he was, former king Adam with his perfect little royal family: his son, King Benjamin and his wife, former queen Belle. Surprisingly, King Benjamin's girlfriend, Lady Audrey, wasn't there.
"None of your damn business."
"That's not really nice, little girl." He was even more annoying that she'd imagined.
"Who you calling little girl? I'm seventeen."
"Okay, uhm dad stop. Is Maleficent here or not? We'd like to talk to her. I'm Ben, sure you know. We are visiting the villains to talk to them about a project to give them better lives. Would you do us a favor and call your... I suppose... mom?" Who the hell did he think he was? Talking to her so nicely and so fake. Give them better lives? How? Killing them?
"I imagine you would not leave until you talk to her, right?" The King nodded. She snorted and went to call her mom and woke her father up.

"I don't care what you have to say, you leave us alone or I'll..." Maleficent was trying to threaten them.
"You'll what? We know down here your powers don't work. So, just listen to us." Hades had an evil smile on his face, he sat down on the couch and soon Maleficent did too.
"We are hoping that you'll cooperate with us for this project. We want to give you a better life. We'll send someone to visit once a week, giving you better supplies to live and more money, we're hoping that you'll stabilize your lives and maybe, come living in Auradon." Maleficent laughed hysterically.
"We thank you. I don't think that we have any other choice, do we?" Hades asked and the Beast nodded. "So, we will be expecting you next week. Mali please, escort them out."
