Kai's gaze shifted around the room, as if he expected something to jump out at him. The first time he felt like this, he had held onto the hope that Lloyd would be back to normal when he awakened after the Trance. But now there was no hope. Lloyd was fully conscious of his actions, and he made no attempt to stop any time soon.
