Chapter 8

Kaiya's POV

A large blush was bright across my cheeks as I waited next to Autumn for Tephilit. Autumn would glance to me time to time but didn't question the silence and fluster.

How could I do something so stupid?! Kiss the prince during such a moment? He will have my head for this for sure!!!

I couldn't help but let out an aggravated groan from my actions and the possible consequences that were to come. This definitely brought Autumn's attention to me with the worried gaze she sent my way. I just smiled nervously and cleared my throat quickly.

"Are you..ok?" She queried cautiously and tilted her head to the side.

"What? Of course! Why wouldn't I be? Its not like I'm about to ride one of the deadliest creatures known to man and may have been pulled to the side by the leader of the armada!" I nearly broke into a hysterical laugh as I gripped the skirt of my dress.

Autumn's eyebrows shot up and she allowed herself to chuckle after a second.

"Oh dear, what ever will you do?"

"I beg your pardon princess? " It was my turn to be confused at her question.

"Im just saying it seems you've gotten yourself mixed up with my brothers as per the fight earlier between them. Not to mention that you have captured the interests of a dragon and now live in a castle with the most notorious of royals." She smiled ever so gently that it made my heart quench.

Another groan left my lips and I ran a hand through my free falling hair.

"I certainly know how to make my life interesting I suppose..."

"Yes indeed, but not to worry love, you'll get used to it all in time. I have a feeling that you and I will be well acquainted and though some of my brothers are a bit off they won't let much harm you." She turned back to face the docks as the rest of the Royal family exited the building and walked out onto the docks.

Careful little girl, I believe your lover boy is coming up behind you.

Lover boy?....

Before I could think of who it was I felt a pair of strong hands clasp onto my shoulders. I looked up at who could be holding onto my shoulders with such a tight grip and I almost croaked when the one man I didn't want to see was behind me. I could feel my face pale as his wicked taunting eyes held mine hostage in their red and white seas.

"Well well, looks like the little wench will be accompanying us today.." Ash spoke out to seemingly no one but himself.

"Really?! Awesome!! I call dibs on Kaiya riding with me!~" Saul practically cheered with delight, already forming devious tricks and naughty tactics in his mind.

"Too late Saul, she is riding with me on Tephilit." Autumn sneered at her brother while taking a hold of my hand in her dainty soft ones.

I wanted to speak up and see if I had a say in what dragon I would ride, but I already felt Ash pulling me away from the two of them.

"I think because her and Umbeos already have met that she should ride with me." He smirked down at me with the look of my impending doom.

"And why are you only now wanting her near you brother?" Max rose an eyebrow and glared at Ash, already seeing the ill intent.

"Sorry Brother, I don't kiss and tell~"He emphasized the word kiss, making me flinch a bit at the irony of his wording.

"C-Can I ride with Autumn please?" I spoke softly, almost a whisper.
