I told you that flowers are delicate.
I showed you the petals
Told you that they are fragile.
You understood.

You held the Dahlia in your hand,
Felt its kindness ; its softness.
You saw its beauty.
But it wasn't enough.

You called the flower stupid.
Crushed it in your hands,
Ripped off its petals.
And when it was completely broken

You said sorry.
But not sincerely...out of pity.
You told the flower that it wouldn't survive without the love you gave it.

Without the warmness.
The petals fell on the damp soil, crushed by your deceit.
The sky cried for the flower.

The sun gave the flower comfort.
Told the flower that it's ok to cry.
It's ok to feel broken.
The flower replied.

Thanked the sun and the rain,
The cloudy and sunny days.
The flower grew.
Stronger, more beautiful.

And learnt...to never trust another,
Like you.
