You bullied me.
We fought.
You couldn't see that I,
Was not your enemy, at all.

You were forced to sit next to me
But we enjoyed the comfort of familiarity.
Your hands were soft
Though your actions were not.

As time passed on
We grew closer,
Nurtured the bond
Saw that the moments went faster-

when it was just you and I.
Now you hug me.
You stand behind me with those same soft hands over my eyes
And although your affection is not guaranteed,

I hope to call you mine.
I long to be in your arms,
Someone you choose to keep for a long time.
I wish to caress your palms

I want to hold on to those moments for longer
Because after all, mother might be right.
The one you hate,
ends up being the love of your life...
