The next day at 2am sharp Jaded and Chalcedony made their way to Dagobah Beach. They had empty backpacks on their backs for the purpose of carrying any leftover equipment they might find. They started looking around the dump filled beach for something that looked even remotely close to a switch before Izuku pointed out a large overthrown bus with a large graffiti logo made on one side."Now I wonder what could that be? Hmm..." said Izuku with a hand under his chin. "Can't figure out for the life of me how the heroes could have found this hideout out..."
Melissa snickered. "Come on, let's check this place out!"
They made their way to the back of the truck where they were meet with a large hole in the ground and a staircase. Next to the hole was what looked like an exhaust pipe stuck into the ground looking suspiciously much like a lever. Izuku pulled at the exhaust pipe making the hole close up before pushing it again and opening it again.
Izuku hummed thoughtfully before the 2 vigilantes made their way down the hole. The staircase itself was looking a bit damaged from the rain and sand that got in through the opening. It was rusted and groaned under the steps of the two vigilantes, some steps were also missing. After a few minutes of walking down the spiral staircase, they arrived in a big, round room with 7 identical doorways all leading down identical corridors. They randomly picked out a doorway and went down it. The hallway was narrow with a dark red carpet and amber colored walls. Once every few meters there would be a small elegant lamp offering dim light. At the end of the hallway they found a square room with 2 hallways and 1 door. They opened the door to find it empty before going down the left hallway. This hallway was wider and housed multiple identical doors. They checked each door only to find the room empty, or no room at all, just a door in a wall. This little charade of endless hallways and empty rooms continued for the next 2 hours, when finally, by some luck, Izuku found a floor plan.
"Omg finally! I thought we were gonna be stuck here forever." exclaimed Melissa.
"Yeah, we were lucky that the heroes forgot this floor plan here." said Izuku. "Now let's see. This hideout has 3 floors below the ground floor, each floor was designed like a maze with fake rooms and multiple twists and turns in order to confuse intruders. Only the third and second floor have actual rooms, the first and ground floor being decoys. Y'know, all in all, this is a really well designed hideout."
Melissa merely glared at him annoyed. The greenette snickered at her. "Ok, ok, hear me out, yes it was annoying going through all of these rooms, but! Imagine if you lived here, nobody could find you without a floor plan, it's basically an endless maze if you don't know where to go. Also it seems the electricity comes from solar panels set near the front of the car, they are placed in such a way that they look like ordinary junk."
"So what, are you suggesting we move here?" asked Melissa.
"Honestly? Yes. This place seems much safer since nobody visits Dagobah Beach anymore and I'm honestly starting to get worried that the heroes will find our apartment, since that one time Midnight got really close to us. And I know the heroes around here, they won't bother with this place. In fact, the only reason they even raided this hideout is because Best Jeanist, the number 4 hero, wanted to."
"Wow, heroes around Musutafu really suck, huh?"
"Yeah they do. But anyway, what do you think?"
"Hmm...you know what? Let's do it!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I like it." And so the two of them explored the hideout for 2 more hours before returning to their apartment with a plan in mind. They decided that the safest place to sleep in would be the last floor, aka the 3rd. They already decided the rooms, they were at the end of a wide corridor with 14 identical rooms. The rooms were across from each other and had private bathrooms. Tomorrow night they'll do the actual moving.
...
Turns out, disassembling a bed is harder than they first thought. The headboard was unfortunately stuck to one of the legs and the frame had at least 60 screws and they really didn't wanna think about having to put those back in. They eventually took the pieces of bed frame and deposited them in what would become Izuku's room. The mattress was easy to move and so was the nightstand. And then here came Dio to punch them in the gut with the wardrobe. If they thought the bed was hard, the wardrobe came with a special kind of hell just for them since it couldn't be disassembled. Yes it fit through the door but it was heavy, even without all the clothes it still weighted like 30 kilograms. (A\N: 30kg= 66.14lb) Yes Melissa and Izuku were buffer than your average 12 and 11 year olds respectively, but that doesnt mean it was an easy task.
With some luck and curse words in 2 languages, they managed to get the thing to Izuku's room. The other things in his room were easier to disassemble( like his desk and the shelves above it) or easy to pack into boxes(like clothes, books, equipment, spare parts and merchandise). The kitchen didn't have many things they needed to take, since the one at the hideout has most necessities. They just took absolutely necessary things, like the microwave, tables and chairs and the fucKING FRIDGE. YEAH, THE FRIDGE.
Apparently whoever used to live there hadn't thought to get a fridge, good thing they at least had a stove but my god. Luckily most of their fridge was empty since both Izuku and Melissa were absolute disasters and only ate toast and bacon, ramen or microwave dinners.
"You know what? No, fuck it, the fridge is electrical, which means I can fix it if something breaks. Come on Melissa, we're pushing this thing down the stairs. I'm not carrying this things down the stairs all the way to the wheeled platform, help me push it."
"But won't we wake up the neighbors?"
"What neighbors? The only ones in this apartment complex are old couples with bad hearing and a few college students who sure as fuck aren't sleeping now. Now get here and help me move this thing!"
"Ok, ok Jesus!"
And down the stairs the fridge went as Izuku watched with an almost maniac gleam as it tumbled down. The fridge door fell down at some point but all in all it went good. Melissa picked it up, put it on the trolley and then ran with it all the way to Dagobah Beach. The last things were the tv, a few shelves and cabinets in the living room and the couch. Another problem they realized they had was that 1. the couch cannot be disassembled and 2. it doesn't fit through the door.
And so, in a moment of tiredness and complete maniacal glee, they dragged the old ugly barf green couch and out the window it went. It crashed into the tree, broke a few branches before finally arriving on the sidewalk. They dragged it back to the hideout, threw it in Melissa's room and called it a day.
At 5am in the morning they managed to move themselves in, but were too tired to reassemble anything, so they threw some sheets on the mattress and couch respectively and went to sleep. They can deal with the rest tomorrow.
