Jacqueline's Pov
I slowly open my eyes.
I had that weird dream again...the one with that guy with the blonde hair and blue eyes. I don't know who he is. I've never met him in my life, but every time I close my eyes...he's all I can dream about.
I get out of my bed and look at myself in the mirror.
Brown Hair. Brown Eyes. They're so plain. Yet, they fit me perfectly.
"Jacqueline!" I heard my mom call from downstairs, "Come eat!"
I put on a black shirt with black skinny jeans and black heels.
What can I say...I live with a family of thieves. Black is in my soul. It's probably the color of it too.
I finish getting dressed and walk into the kitchen.
"My oh my, don't you look nice." My stepmother Cora Ansley says with a smile. Cora Ansley. Brown hair and green eyes.
"Thanks." I say as I sit down at the table.
"I don't like it." My father says as he hesitates to make eye contact with me. His name is Greg Ansley. He's the 'CEO' of the House of Ansley. He has sleek black hair and icy blue eyes. "Is black seriously your only color? I mean, we are thieves, but you're still a teenager. Why not try wearing some brighter colors?"
"Well...I could wear grey." I say as I look down at my outfit.
"Why not pink?" My brother asks with a smirk. His name is Jason Ansley. He's 15 and his occupation in life is to annoy his older sister who is almost 17. He has brown hair and icy blue eyes. He takes after our mother.
I shoot him a death glare as I say, "Pink is a disgusting color..."
"No, it isn't! I love pink!" My younger step sister said as she stuffed her mouth with waffles.
"That's because you're 9!" I say as I take a bite out of my food.
"Nah, ah! I'm going to be 10 in 3 days!" Ashley says as gobbles down her orange juice. She has black hair and green eyes.
From the looks of it, we may seem like a regular family, but when it comes to missions...my family and my other colleagues in our 'House' are skilled warriors!
"Ugh. You pig." I murmur to myself as I cut my sausage and poke it with my fork.
*School
I walked all the way to school from my home in Las Vegas, California to my new school called Rancho High School and by the time I did...I wanted to head back home.
"Jacqueline! Hey!" I heard someone call my name.
I turned around to see my old partner in crime...Tyler Jules. The light brown haired, brown eyed guy who was always following me around at a young age says, "Jac...you finally registered for normal school. Though you're a little late...it's almost the end of the year."
"The only reason my father even let me go to school is for a mission. Besides, I'm smart enough to be in my senior year of college." I say with a smirk.
"You're going to steal something?" Tyler whispers.
"You bet I am." I say, my smirk widening.
"When will you ever learn Jac? You never have fun." Tyler says with a disappointed look on his face.
"Thieves don't have time for fun." I say with a serious glare.
With those final words, I head to the administrators office.
