⚠️Smut Warning⚠️

I took a look of my surroundings and I double-checked my belongings that I held in my hand—mainly my phone and my writing material. Students, just like me filed out of rooms after the exam for the day. Amongst the crowd, I searched for Ethan. I wanted to know how he faired in today's paper. He isn't the smartest, we can agree to that.

"Boo!",someone yelled behind me and gripped my shoulders. I jumped a little only to see a flash of purple. It was Ethan himself, the boy I looked for. The same boy with the purple streaks in his hair. I so loved that colour. Suits him perfectly. "Guess who aced their Spanish exam! Era yo!"

I unlocked my phone that was in my hands and quickly typed in a few words in a fresh note. 'All thanks to whom?'

"Duh. Me. You. It was mainly me. I mean, come on! I wrote the paper." I playfully punched his arm while he laughed. He put his arm around me and we walked down the hallway close to each other.

'Do you mind if I crash at your place for a while before I head to the Centre? I might want to nap.'

"No mi amor. You seem to be forgetting something." He whipped out two colourful cards from his pocket that looked like tickets. "We're gonna watch the basketball game!"

Oh shoot. That explains all the rushing students and everyone talking abouts seats. My dumb ass thought people are heading out for the weekend when in reality, they're going from classrooms to the gymnasium.

'Do I need to be there?'

"Hey, we haven't gone on a date in 7 days. You're coming." I shrugged but Ethan pretended he didn't see me visibly shrug. "Come on, let's watch the game. I'll explain it all to you. I'll buy you your favourite slushy and Nutter Butter. I'm craving cherry liquorice anyway." Ethan seemed to have taken a fancy towards those liquorice. A quick trip to the concession stands and Ethan and I found ourselves among what I could assume, the whole school. Girls and boys were cheering and the cacophony of conversations, the horns, the pumped cheerleaders and so on. We walked up the bleachers to a seat that Ethan chose. Per se, the seat was ideally located where he could see the players, the court, the cheerleaders and the scoreboard—basically everything.

"Wooohoooooo!!",screamed a girl behind me. She was a sophomore who hated avocados. I know that is because she was standing in line during lunch a few days and she hassled with the lunch lady simply because there were the said-fruit in her salad.

"Great seats!",cheered Ethan.

I was minding my business and sipping on my slushy when an air horn went off and the room was filled with pandemonium. I never had the chance to go to any sporting event with my dad. I lagged interest but that wasn't matter of fact. The tickets were always out of our budget and for the same reason, my dad would enjoy baseball and soccer on the television itself.

"So the guys in the white jersey—",spoke Ethan and I snapped out of my thoughts. "They're the ones from our school. They're the Thundering Bolts. Nice name, isn't it? The guys in blue, they're the rivals."

I nodded and Ethan took a bite of his liquorice. I could practically smell the sweet cheery flavour as he bit into it.

"So the objective of the game is to throw the ball through the basket to earn points. In college, each half is twenty minutes long but here in high school, the halves are divided into eight minute quarters. In the pros, quarters are twelve minutes long."

I signed,'That's interesting.'

"Yeah it is! I'm sure you'll go home with a fairly good knowledge of basketball today and substantial enjoyment."
