Chapter sixteen: learning to live with out you

Y/n POV:

It'a been 3 months since the truth about Eli I mean hawk came out... I stopped going around cobra Kai besides from Tory .

She was just as surprised as I was when I told her what happen . I had to stop her many times from killing hawk and Miguel, well most of cobra Kai that knew about it.

"Prom is the biggest thing aside from graduating in a senior life" our home room teacher started on about .

"Ugh I forgot about that" I rubbed my face "your ice skating took up that much of your time you forgot every high school girl dream?" Dimitri chucked next to me . "I'm so sorry my heartbreak took over my feet and I skated out my anger and sadness" rolling my eyes at him.

Dimitri held his hands up "don't kill me now with the sarcasm" he joked before rubbing my back. I shook my head as the bell rang "come on we have gym" I got up grabbing my things together.

"Alright guys it's a free day I have to catch up on some paperwork I don't care what you do as long as you move your body." The teacher looked at us especially the one group of girls who just sit there and complain .

"So y/n" Sam asked me as we walked along the track field "yes?" She tied her hair back "are you going to prom? Or are you going to be skating the whole night ignoring all your friends" A sigh slipped from my mouth "I had no plans on going" we started are 3rd lap "oh come on we can go together no boys no dates just us and maybe Tory I know she's your best friend" she bugged my side "maybe let me think about it" Sam smiled "I'll take it! But tonight you have no choice you are going to golf n stuff with us tonight and we will have fun!".

"Fine." I shot her a look.

"Your joking" I grumbled as Sam Dimitri walked up behind me "he had to be here" Sam rolled her eyes looking at hawk and some of cobra Kai laugh playing games "you girls don't worry about it it's fine " Dimitri wrapped his arms around us "it's going to be a good night".

"Ooo hole in one beat that!" Sam stuck her tongue out "it's kids mini golf it's easy to get a hole in one" Dimitri pointed out to her .
"Ow!" He flitched after she smacked his arm. I couldn't help but laugh "you guys are so silly" A small smile came to my face . "We got a laugh and smile!" Dimitri chants getting hawks attention.

We locked eyes and he did a small wave . I turned my head my hair covering my face so he didn't see it "I'm sorry y/n I didn't mean to" I held up my hand it's okay we were having fun I shouldn't let him bother me like that" I gave him a small smile with a head nod .

"Oh my god guys look how cute that bear is!" I pointed to the bear squishmellow hanging from the game "y/n you're 19 years old you do not need that" Dimitri shot a look . I placed my hands on my hips "uh sir you are never too old for squishmellows" . Sam laughed "once she has her set on something there no way to bug her" she looked over my shoulder . "Come on guys let's go get some ice cream and call it a night, my dad knows a guy who owns a really good ice cream place" she locked arms with us.

"But squish" I pouted  at her "another time" she giggled dragging Dimitri and I off.

"Here ya guys go on the house , Sam tell your dad he needs to start selling ice cream trucks to get my business on wheels" the ice cream shopper owner told Sam. "I will this Ice cream is amazing more people should know about it." "Alright you kids have a good night you are always welcome!" He waved us off.

"So y/n." Sam spoke as we walked down to my house after waving good bye to Dimitri "yes?" I took a bite out of my ice cream. "A friend of mine wants to ask you out on a date how would you feel about that?".
My body started to shut down. the thought of dating after Eli... "I never really thought of dating anyone else besides hawk... I loved him I might do still but after what I found out ..." my voice cracks at that thought and memories of my birthday flashes back to my head "I-i know I didn't want to ask but he instead and he really really does like you he's a great guy amazing at karate" before she can continue I cut her off "really Sam another karate guy?" Shaking her Heard head "I know y/n but he's different I swear his dad is kinda a dick but I promise his son isn't " .

We finally made it to my house before I answered her question, my eyes drew to Eli's his bedroom light was dark . He's either out drinking or asleep more likely drinking.. "I-if you say he's a nice guy I might give it a shot .. I can't be hung up on hawk forever right .?" My voice was soft and my fingers found their way to my hair "yay! That's great y/n I'll give him a call and set a date up for you guys for Saturday!" She gave me a big hug "I'll see you in school!" Sam smiled and started off to her house .

"How was your day sweetie?" My mother asked as I walked into the kitchen placing my book bag on the table "it was okay... everyone talking about prom the normal high school stuff" she tossed me a look "so y/n.. " I stopped myself from leaving the kitchen "yeah?" A sigh left her lips "Eli was here he left you something , I don't know what happen between the two of you but I really hope you guys work something out you were so happy with him" her voice sounded hopeful.

I couldn't answer with words Just a small nod happen "Um I'm going upstairs now" not waiting for a answer I tugged my body upstairs to see the mystery item eli has left me.

"I hate him" A tear rolled down my eye when I seem the bear squishmellow sitting on my bed with one single rose taped onto it . I placed the rose on my table and sat down on the bed holding the squish to my chest I rolled to face the wall and let more tears fall .

I miss him I miss him so much but I can't forgive him for what he's done .. I want to but I just can't let it go .. I miss my friends , I miss watching them practice, I miss when they came to my practices and preformes.. the late night hot dog runs and sneaking Booz out of Johnny's house.. "why why is cobra Kai guys assholes" I mumbled to myself more tears coming out soaking my new bear.

"I've been asking that myself for a while now.." a deep voice came from my window .

Shooting up I looked over at hawk who was sitting in my window his hair down the red dye faded out turning pink "w-why are you here you shouldn't be here" I got off my bed grabbing my tissues to clean up my face "I seen you crying I-I couldn't just do nothing at lest I know you like the squish?" He came into my room all the way .

"You shouldn't be here hawk " I told him again "y/n please I fucked up I know I wasn't expecting that to go as long as it did I should of told you about the damn dumb dare it wasn't supposed to be like that Miguel wanted me to tell you as soon as possible he didn't want to hurt you either " hawk followed me around my room "hawk I can't just forgive you just like that I have some pride" my tears threatens to fall again . "Y/n I love you I really do you are the best thing that happen to me It's been hell with out you .." his hand hovered over my arm "hawk.." I turned and sat down on the end of my bed causing him to bend down in front of me . "Y/n.." he cupped my face making me look at him .

"I love you and I know you love me please give me another chance not to fuck it up..." his blue eyes were glossy like he was crying himself.

"Hawk please go home..," my voice cracked as more tears rolled down my face "you hurt me so much I can't take anymore pain" the words choked him .

He didn't say anything as he stood up his lips met the top of my head.
" I love you.." he whispers before leaving out my window just as he came in..

"Fuck!" I screamed throwing my pillow across my room . Tucking myself into a ball on my bed I let my tears run as much as they could until I fell asleep with a pounding headache from crying..
