Marinette was getting more nervous as Monday rolled around. The dreadful day where she had to go to school. She got anxiety just thinking about being the new girl at school so to help take her mind off things. She spent the whole week exploring Gotham and completing all of her commissions ahead of time and was able to start more; it also didn't hurt that the city of crime was so inspirational. Ironic right?

She spent a lot of family bonding with Penny and Jagged but today she would have to go to school. Instead of homeschooling like Marinette wanted both Jagged and Penny thought it would be better to go to a small private school to help her get over her Social Anxiety so next thing she knew they had enrolled her into Gotham Academy.

Now she was sitting in the back of her godparent's limo. Letting her fingers fiddle with the hem of her skirt nervously on her way to school. Jagged and Penny would have been sitting next to her to help with the first day jitters telling her everything would be alright. Instead they had to go down to the studio for something important and Marinette insisted that she'd be fine without them.

"Don't worry Marinette it'll be fine! Think of all the new friends you'll meet here and you could have sleepovers and hangout after school. Don't forget about about all of the cool classes they have at this school. There's a lot that you didn't have at your old school and think about all the cute boys that there might be, some probably even better looking than Adrien!" Tikki was tucked and hidden away from sight in Marinette's inside pocket of the blazer that was apart of her uniform.

"Yes but in order for that to happen I'll have to talk to people. What if I make a bad 1st impression or I embarrass myself? Or worst what if I make friends only for them to turn around and hurt me like my old class did? What if I'm not as smart as the others and think I'm dumb? What if-" Just as Marinette was about to go into a big long rant Tikki interrupted her before she got the chance to.

"Marinette no one will think you're dumb you're one of the smartest people I know and you won't embarrass yourself or make a bad 1st impression. You wanna know what I think that?" She looked at Marinette who slowly but surely nodded her head the Tikki continued on, "I know because you're amazing and can do anything you set your mind too. I've seen you do it multiple times now. It's why you're one of the best Guardians in history. Now stop thinking about the negatives and think more about the positives that could happen today."

"Thanks Tikki you always know how to make me feel better and you're right I should start thinking about the positives that could happen today." For the remainder of the ride the two went back and forth coming up with the positive things that might happen. When they got to Gotham Academy Marinette took a deep breath to calm her nerves a little bit and telling herself everything was going to be okay. Stepping out of the limo she was met with oncoming stares and whispers.

Walking to the front office to get her schedule she was looking around at her new surroundings when suddenly she bumped into something.

"Watch where you're going!" A man with grass green eyes and very tan skin turned around to face her glaring at her. Hearing the man yell at her brought her back into time where her classmates would slap her if she did something like this.

"I'm so sorry I'll do better but please don't hit me I'm so, so sorry!" Marinette voice showed that she was afraid as she closed her eyes, putting her hands up to protect her face and waiting for the on coming slap that would surely happen.

"What I'm not goi-" The man stopped mid sentence mid sentence to realize something. Both of their wrists were glowing a beautiful golden color.......right where their soulmate tattoo was. It had combined to where half of the heart was a demon and the other an angle now.
