Mono could not blame the girl, she just saw him chop down her only safe place. Just like the last Mono, he ran after her. Up the stairs and around the hall he saw her trying to reach for a leaver to run. The leaver looked like it led to an attic but it was too high to reach for her height. She jumped for it, fighting for it.
"Hey I can give you a boost," Mono said gingerly to not scare her.
She kept her mouth shut refusing to talk to him. She was being very stubborn about it. She continued jumping at it.
Mono looked at her through his bag." You can trust me." No one could see it but he was smiling in his bag.
"How can I trust you." She said in a whisper.
"I don't know how you can but, you're gonna have to make the first move," Mono said holding out his hand.
"Fine but I do it to you." She said.
She went into a boost position. He climbed onto her reaching for the leaver. He reached so far that his right arm hurt. Finally, he got it, the leaver revealed stairs up to the attic
"Okay, I got it," Mono said quietly just in case if any monsters were near.
"great. She said. Also what's your name, I can't work with you if I don't know it." She said putting Mono down.
"it's Mono now shall we go up."
They both walked up the stairs into the old attic. It was like the rest of the house, old and dusty. In the room there was a strange contraption that had a body bag and a key on it, it hanging from the ceiling
"Hhh, how could I forget what's your name," Mono asked.
" it's Six."
" Cool, I heard it was a lucky number in China."
"Ya." Six chuckled sadly.
"Is everything okay," Mono asked
" Well before the world went crazy I had a dad and a twin brother. I never had a mother she died when we were three. Anyway, he called us his lucky number Sixty-seven. When he had turned evil, well a monster we and my brother got in arguments so we split and went our names I'm Six and he is Seven. After we fought we went our own path never seeing each other again. I miss him very much and I wish I could see him one last time. I loved my brother.
" I'm so sorry Six but I have a question because I don't get the story," Mono said.
"What is it." She said.
" What does Love Mean," Mono asked confused.
" You've never been loved before." Six said.
" You still haven't explained what love is I'm very curious," Mono said.
Soon they heard something climbing up the stairs. It made loud thumps whatever it was.
"There's something here, Mono said, Go hide Six.
Mono didn't see where Six hid but he hid in a tiny box. Soon Shadow six appeared right next to him.
" Well this will interesting this had never happened." Shadow Six said
