Goldenpaw rushed to Flytuft, who was just finished from collecting herbs and going back to camp.

"You received an omen?!" Flytuft exclaimed, in awe. "I'm jealous! I haven't received a sign from StarClan since Feathershimmer's death! What did they tell you?"

Goldenpaw took a deep breath, then mimicked what Goldenstar had said.

"The floods are coming, and with it are the waters of darkness."

Before Flytuft could respond, Hawksong called out of the medicine den.

 "Hunting time!"

Goldenpaw could smell all the scents of.... Rabbit? All she could smell were rabbits, and she could hear rabbits chewing down some grass tufts. Then she scented a bit of squirrel, mouse, and vole, and realized the forest was abundant after all. However, there was something off about the squirrels, mice, and voles...

Before Goldenpaw could jump into practically the pit of prey, Silverpaw had already caught three rabbits, and Bronzepaw had caught a squirrel on a low branch. Goldenpaw, humiliated, dashed into the hunting grounds and caught two mice, a vole, and a rabbit.

"Great," Hawksong said. "Rabbits are simple but large. A single rabbit is enough to satisfy a warrior. Lets go back to camp."

Once they arrived and put their prey down Goldenpaw plopped down on her nest. There was something odd about the soil in the hunting grounds. The land was unusually damp, and the grass grew ever so slightly taller than usual. There had been no rains the past days, and most of the squirrels were on higher branches than their nests would be in.

The floods are coming, and with it are the waters of darkness. Goldenpaw curled up and went to sleep.

"Help! Water everywhere!" Goldenpaw struggled in the large, swollen rivers. She didn't know how she fell in, but getting saved is more important. She yowled for her littermates, her family, her leader, any of her Clanmates! But she was in unfamiliar territory, and it smelled nothing like any of the three Clans. Suddenly Goldenpaw's head dunked into the water, falling and sinking into the bottom.

Goldenpaw woke up in her den. It was Moonhigh, and everyone was asleep.

 "Just another dream," She said.

But she knew this was another piece of the omen. And as she drifted back to sleep, she could sense Goldenstar's presence.
