"Water!" Goldenpaw struggled to swim to the surface. Flashes of the dream she had the other day entered her mind. Once she exited the apprentices den she noticed the water raised higher than the den. she floated onto the surface and pushed herself onto solid land.
It took a while for the brown apprentice to find her Clan. Finally she found all her Clanmates on an elevated platform, huddled together. Some shivered. Some sneezed.
Talonshine shrieked, racing toward her daughter.
"TALONSHINE NO!!!" Mousesplash screamed.
But it was too late. Talonshine tripped on a rock and splashed into the floods.
Mousesplash, Goldenpaw, Silverpaw, and Bronzepaw looked down, looking for the ginger she-cat. Suddenly, ripples and splashes formed in the water, and a ginger head appeared above the floods. Talonshine!
Mousesplash and Goldenpaw jumped into the water to save Talonshine. Goldenpaw helped Talonshine back onto land, with Mousesplash close behind.
Suddenly, a gray tom appeared before him. He was like a combination of Powderfeather and Silverpaw together. He snickered and dropped the brown tom into the water. "MOUSESPLASH!!" Talonshine, Goldenpaw, Silverpaw, and Bronzepaw screamed at once. Silverpaw dropped into the floods in hope for finding Mousesplash.
Finally they returned, Mousesplash fainting. The mysterious cat had disappeared as strangely as he showed up.
"Mousesplash drowned...."
