Charlie's POV

Charlie had been waiting for the day she would get to go to Diagon Alley since she got her letter to Hogwarts. It had only been a week or two, but the excitement was felt through the whole house while she waited.

“Honey! Five minutes before we leave for Diagon Alley.” Her father, Owen yelled up the stairs, he was a Ravenclaw when he went to Hogwarts, and he knew how exciting it was to see Diagon Alley for the first time.

“Coming!” The eleven year old called back, catching herself while she tripped into her brother's room to say bye.

“Swayer, we’re leaving, I’ll be home later. Love you!” Charlie told her younger brother.

“Love you C.” The seven year old kissed his sister’s cheek before playing with his legos before school. Charlie smiled at the nickname and tied her shoes before jumping down the stairs.

Charlie ran around looking for her mom, “Charlotte,” her mom called, coming out of her room. Following her mom's voice, the two hugged, “Have fun, and don’t be too crazy. Okay?” Her mom told her, kissing her forehead.

“Felicity, we must be leaving now. Don’t want to miss the good books.” Owen smiled, he grabbed Charlie's hand and said, “Tell Swayer to have a good second day of second grade.” Switching his direction to look at his daughter, “Close your eyes.”

The parents smiled at each other as Charlie vibrated yelling, “This is going to be amazing!”  before the father daughter duo disappeared.

For a few seconds it felt like she was going to explode, when Charlie reopened her eyes, they were no longer in her house. They were outside a small pub, ‘The Leaky Cauldron’, and walking in, Owen seemed to know plenty of the people inside.

“This is Diagon Alley?” Charlotte asked, slightly disappointed, but still hopeful. Her dad looked at her and smiled,

“Be patient and the answers will come.” Charlie gave a confused look, her eyes going wide before saying,

“You sound like riddles sometimes, and other times they don’t even make sense!” Charlie told her dad, face still one of confusion. Eventually exiting out through the back of the pub. Charlie looked around seeing the brick wall in front of her and her dad. She looked at him before seeing a wand in his hand. Her eyes went big as she saw it for the first time, sure she knew he was a wizard to some extinct, but she had never seen his wand before. He started tapping his wand in a pattern. Trying to remember the pattern in her head, the blonde didn’t notice the bricks start folding in on themselves, opening to a vibrant street full of different people and stores.

When she finally seemed to notice, her eyes went even bigger, her excitement getting the better of her as she started vibrating, “So this is Diagon Alley.” Charlie said quietly, she was looking around. Distracted by what she had seen of the wizarding world so far.

“Charlotte, are you coming, or are you going to stand there until we go home?” Her dad asked, she stopped staring in disbelief when she heard her name and she ran to catch up to him, ready to start her new adventure.
