Chapter 3: Shockwaves

After Michael came to a finish with his outstanding performance the room became silent, that was until Berry broke that silence with a loud clap as loud as thunder hitting the concrete during a thunder storm.
Diana then made her way towards Michael with her arms wide open , embracing him with a tender loving touch to his side as she squeezed him gently her heart started thumping faster then usual.

"Well Mr.Jackson i do have to say i am very impressed at what I've seen so far it looks like your gonna be the next Jackie Wilson."

"Well if I'm the next Jackie I would have to say your gonna be the next Billie Holiday Ms.Ross."

As Michael put his belongings away Smokey ran into the room clapping obnoxiously

"Well wasn't that something! Your no Jackie though kid that's just Diane being nice I'd say you can make it as a temp maybe."

"Smokey your horns are showing themselves.'

Michael laughed at Smokey's ignorant comment , moving closer to Diana he took her hand and kissed it gently with a smirk forming upon his lips

"Well that would be a bother if I didn't already know Jackie personally Mr.Robinson."

"Diane are you really gonna be hanging with this cat , I thought me and you could go down by the old movie theatre tonight."

Diana laughed at Smokey then smiled as Michael took her hand she squeezed it gently

"I rather spend more time with Michael, Smokey your a dog and I'd be a big fool if  I go anywhere with you after all the doggin around you've been doing."

Michael smiled hearing his name slip from Diana's mouth to his ears that's about the only thing he heard in that instant as he glanced up Smokey had his eyes on Diana the way he had he saw the man was becoming jealous but he knew that was just Diana's aura every man in this world be a fool if he wasn't turning his head towards Ms.Diana Ross

"So what do you say Michael lets hit the town for tonight!  What do you like to do for fun , I know this swinging place that you might be familiar with especially if your close with Jackie he performs there almost every night"

"Well i was thinking we go for a walk through the park that way i get some ice to you for myself that way I can know you better then before, how does that sound to you Ms.Ross?"

Diana smiled while her face was warming up from this invitation

"All I have left to say is what time should I be ready Mr.Jackson?"

"8 sharp , you don't have to get all fancy either Ms.Ross."

"Well ill see you then"

In that same moment Diana ran off catching up with the girls while thinking of Michael, not just his voice this time but his facial features, his lips ,his arms, his brown soft eyes. This time Diana was lost with the man not just the music.Mary caught Diana in a Daze then chuckled.

"That Michel sure is something else huh Diane."

Mary said teasingly pulling at Diana's strings in that same moment Diana got out of her daze and shrugged her shoulders at Mary

"He's a gentleman I'll say that much."

Flo quickly interrupted Diana

"Well if you don't want him ill take him Diane , he sure is something els I haven't seen around here since Smokey,"

"Smokey is a Dog Florence one that told me he loved me and made me look and feel like a complete fool, he was the one who broke my heart and made me cry , I wanted things with Smokey to work something bad but it just seems like that wasn't in the plan written for me but boy does he still try to hold on to me , I'd wish he would just let me be.Hey girls!
