Chapter 1:HitsVille USA

It was the Summer the sun was shining bright all the young woman in the latest vibrant colors with there part time jobs at the Burger and Shake joint just a block away from the newest hit place , hitsville USA was the big talk of the town , Diana wasn't new to another hot Detroit summer since she was a child she had experienced the aching hot heat along with seeing boys and girls messing around during this time Diane was raised to do no such thing, to surpass what she had seen Diane & her friends Florence & Mary love to sing, the blues , doo wop pretty much anything that played from the radio system outside would be acceptable. One day The very famous and upcoming artist Mr.Smokey Robinson had been the one to catch Diane's eye but Diane had no interest for his temporary romance so as quick as it started it ended while remaining close friends Diane got a foot in to the next big thing HitsVille USA ran by Mr.Berry Gordy.
"Berry I have some paper work here for you sir"
Diane said In a low and shy tone before hearing his response Smokey ran through Berry's office
"Look at this joker!"
Smokey said pointing at the paper of the mysterious singer from Gary Indiana.
"he's the talk of the town supposedly was looking to become an artist here"
Diane politely stepped away pulling berry along side with her
"Berry I was wondering if maybe you had some time today you could here me and my friends show you that we can be a real essential part to hitsville"
Berry listened to Diane's request for almost the 3rd time now with no hesitation this time he replied
"I'll consider it Diane, do you have a name for this group of yours?"
Diane overly excited quickly answered with a bright smile upon her face
"The Primettes"
Berry shook his head in disagreement sitting at his office desk
"That simply won't work Diane I need something that's gonna grab the peoples attention the primettes isn't going to make my soul shout and my feet moving to the record shop now is it"
Diane rolled her eyes at Berrys comment because he has yet to even hear the girls sing before insinuating such a thing.
"We'll if you just hear us one good time I can promise that will change your mind, we can work on the name but Berry I promise that we will have people trampling to every record store in the world just to hear us all sing"

"Well Diane as promising as that sounds now I can't give every singer in Detroit these kind of deals"
Diane nodded her head but knew truly that was more then unexpected because she knew Mary,Flo & herself were for sure going to be the next big thing to hit Detroit's ears.
"Who else do I have scheduled to see today Diane?"
Diane picked up the clipboard
"Well you have an audition with a fella that goes by the name of Michael, should I call him in?"
Berry shook his head no then returned to his office
"If he wants this opportunity with me he will show when he is supposed to be here & if not we will find someone else that will."

Diane disagreed with Berrys out put on things sometimes but then again she had to remember that Berry Gordy is the one signing her checks

"Well if he has an address I'll go get him and bring him in here , everyone deserves they're shot Berry"

"Not everyone deserves to be apart of this Diane especially if there not hungry for it"
