Chapter 14

Rachel's P.O.V continued

I got up and looked at my phone, it said 8:05 AM Wednesday January 22, 2014. I locked my phone and got up. I know I don't need to go to school because my dads are trying to get me into WMHS and they dont want me to go back to CHS. I went downstairs to the kitchen and made myself breakfast. I ate my yogurt with fruit and went into the shower thinking of my dream. It all felt so real and horrible. I'm just glad I'm okay and that never happened. I finally finished showering and got dressed (the picture below) because I was going to meet Jesse at the Lima Bean so we can talk. I was nervous because I still haven't told Jesse my answer and I was scared because what if he actually was like that? No. I'm not going to let some nightmare come into the real world.

I checked my phone and it said 12:35 p.m. Wow, was I really thinking for that long? I realized I had to meet Jesse in 5 minutes so I got my car keys and my purse and walked out to my car. While I was driving to Lima Bean I got a text message from Jesse saying how he was there already. I didn't reply and i started to drive quickly but carefully. I finally got to the parking lot and got out my car. I walked inside and started looking for Jesse. I heard my name from my left side and there was Jesse waiting for me. I started panicking while walking to him but relaxed. Everything is fine.

Me- "Hi Jesse, Good Morning." I said as I sat down across from him.

Jesse- Good Morning Rachel. You look very nice today.

Me- "Thanks Jesse. Well, I wanted to talk to you about my answer." I said so scared to see what he'll do. I started talking again. "Look, you're a very handsome guy bu-" I got caught off because he started talking.

Jesse- "Before you continue, I need to tell you something. I don't like you in that sort of way. I don't even know why I kissed you or asked you out. I guess I was just trying to get over my ex, but truth is I can't. Don't get me wrong... you're beautiful. But like you were about to say, I don't see you that way." He smiled at me and grabbed my hands. "But I do hope this is a start of a beautiful friendship. Would you want that?"

Me- "Yes i would." I smiled so big and sighed in relief and I was happy nothing horrifying happened.

After that we stayed and started talking about what we want to do in the future and how we both share a love for broadway. He then left because he needed to go to VA rehearsals and I went back home.

Today was going good so far. I can't wait to see what else this day brings me! As I got home, both my dads were sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for me to get home. They both looked so happy. Daddy finally spoke up.

Daddy- "GUESS WHAT SWEETIE?!!" He said as he was grabbing dads hand.

Me- What?

Dad&Daddy- YOU GOT INTO MCKINLEY!!

I was the happiest person ever! My dads were happy and that made me happy. Life is pretty good so far.!
