"Hermione!" Ron called from across the Gryffindor common room. "Over here!"
Hermione Granger smiled warmly over at her friends Harry, Ron, and Ginny before walking over to greet them.
She had not seen them on the train, as she couldn't face them. Not yet at least. Upcoming events made her stomach churn, ones she couldn't discuss with her friends.
As soon as she approached, Ginny jumped up and held her in a tight embrace.
The bushy haired girl laughed. "Nice to see you too, Ginny."
The wizards were returning to complete their studies at Hogwarts. The school had been nicely repaired and redone, though there was still a certain tension in the room, as witches and wizards alike were still getting over the loss of their friends and family.
Harry stood up and gave Hermione a warm hug. "Congratulations on making Head Girl by the way!"
"Thank you Harry!" Hermione said, grinning at her long-time best friend.
"Who d'you reckon made Head Boy?" Ron asked, standing up and kissing her forehead.
Hermione just shrugged her shoulders. "All I can do is hope it's not a Slytherin."
"Say, Hermione," Ginny started. "We've barely heard from you all summer! Where have you been?"
"Oh... I, er... I was finding my parents." She couldn't let them know. Not yet, at least.
"You knew they were in Australia though," Ron said. "It couldn't've taken you that long to find them."
"Uh... I have to go speak to Professor McGonagll. Head Girl duties. Talk to you later!" Hermione muttered hastily, picking up her bags, waving over her shoulder, and heading out the portrait hole, the others calling 'Goodbye's' after her.
'They'll be here in two days,' she thought to herself, fingering the charm bracelet her mother gave her when she was 9. 'You can explain everything when they get here.'

"Percy!" Annabeth yelled. "Hurry up! We're going to be late for the meeting!"
The daughter of Athena paced around the Poseidon cabin waiting for her idiotic boyfriend to get out of bed.
She, of course, was already packed and set to go. The others just didn't know where they were going, well, apart from Hazel. It was her job to help Chiron explain this trip, as she had been there many times before.
"But Annie..." Percy whined, blinking his eyes open slowly.
Annabeth glared at the black haired boy making him recoil slightly under her gaze.
"Don't call me Annie!" she snapped.
"But I don't even know what this whole thing is about!" he complained. "Why are you all worked up about it?"
"Because, Seaweed Brain," she sighed. "Some of us aren't as clueless as you are."
Percy just groaned and rolled over, not seeing any reason as to why he should get up. He liked his blankets and had become fairly attached to them over night.
"Now get up!" Annabeth yelled, grabbing a pillow from another bunk and starting to hit the sleepy son of Poseidon.
Percy stayed in the same position, pretending to snore in attempt to make her give up.
Annabeth smirked. "Fine," she huffed. "I'll just have to give your blue pancakes to Leo then."
Percy's gorgeous sea green eyes snapped open. He sat up, almost hitting his head on the upper bunk in the process. "I'm up!"
