Location - the clock tower

We entered the clock tower to see nothing out of the ordinary, just a large, empty room with a bunch of gears making the clock work and a staircase to the top. "Hello?" I called out. No reply. "Hello?" I called out again. Again, no answer. Then we heard something fall. "Hello?" I called out once more. No answer. I go up the stairs and hear another thing fall and a shadow run to the other side of the room, I get up the stairs and git hit in the face with a book, I rub my head from the pain and look up to see a person about to through something else at me. The person looked like she was in her early twenties, with black hair up in a messy bun and blue eyes wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a picture of a 70s band, I don't remember the name of it though. "Friendly!" I yell. "I'm friendly. Are you Nyx? If so we got your note."

"Yes. I'm Nyx. Are you sure you aren't just some shapeshifter? I'll throw another book at you!" they yell, putting their hands up about to throw the book. I throw my arms over my head.

"Please don't," I beg. "I'm just here to talk. My name is Lillith Evergreen. And I have some friends down-" I get cut off.

"Did you just say evergreen?" she held the book down

"Yes, my last name is evergreen why?"

"What year is it?"

"2021?" she didn't speak, just stared at me. She turned around, dropped the book on the floor, and looked out the window down at the woods nearby. "What year did you think it was?"

"1981. I guess you don't age here. The name is Nyx Evergreen. I thought my brother, Robin, and I was the last humans in here but I guess my brother got out. How is he?"

"Robin is my grandfather, and he's good but, one question, you look like you are still in your twenties, how do you still look so young?"

"Are you def I said 'i guess you don't age here' if I did age I'd be," Nyx paused for a second. "Well, I can't remember my age, how long have I been in here, 40 years?"

"I guess so. Hey guys, you can come up now, it's safe!" everyone walked up the stairs and saw Nyx, they introduced themselves and started to look around the place. Nyx had a decent place at the top of the clock tower, she had a couple of beds, some food, and books for entertainment. Seth and Lucifer were talking by the stairs meanwhile I saw Raven looking out the window with a concerned look, I wanted over to her. "Hey, you alright? You seem on edge." she looked at me.

"I don't know about this Nyx person, your grandfather never talked about his sister if he ever did have one. I don't trust her, nor do I like this place. I'm surprised you not balling your eyes out since your dad is.... Ya know." she explained.

"Then again my grandpa has a bad memory I don't trust it either but I don't have time to focus on that or what we found what I need to focus on is how to get out of here."

"Well you saw the letter, how will you get us out of here with it continuously moving?"

"I'll figure something out, in the meantime, I need you to make sure Seth and Lucifer don't get into trouble if you understand what I'm saying." I joked.

"Haha will do just don't die out there." she laughed and continued to look out the window. I went over to one of the beds and decided to rest for the night.

location - clocktower

I woke up to lucifer shaking me awake. "Lilith, get up it's important," he whispered. I sit up and look at him."

"What is it? Isn't everyone else asleep?" I ask.

"Couldn't sleep but that besides the point, it's about Nali." he pointed to the stairs in the clocktower. "Let's go downstairs so we don't wake the others, and don't ask questions." I get up and we head downstairs. Suddenly the smell of what I assumed was death started to fill the air. We got to the bottom of the staircase and I saw someone looking at us, they were extremely pale but had the same clothes and shape as Nali.

"Nali? But, I thought you were dead. How are you even alive." I stare in disgust. He looked as if he was rotting from the inside like a zombie but still had the mindset of a normal human.

"Ya I know, kinda shocking," he started putting his hand on the back of his head.

"But the serpents how did you get away? And you saw my dad he was not alive."

"I didn't they just kinda left me, Like I was sport. Maybe they used a type of poison on me if so I don't know what. As for your dad, something else got him not a bunch of serpents"

"That's true. Well, let us get you upstairs see if we can help you." I grab his arm and try to help him upstairs with lucifer behind us. Nali's brain seemed functional mentally just not physically as if his brain could not control his limbs. We got up the stairs to see Raven and Seth awake.

"There yall are where were-" Raven paused for a second. "Nali? You look like something from a zombie movie."

"Way to boost my self-esteem Raven." Nali looked at her with an annoyed expression.

"Well, at least your alive right?" she crossed her arms.

"Somewhat alive but yes," he replied. I helped him over to the bed and he laid down.

"Do you want me to get you anything?" I asked.

"No, I'm ok for now I'm just tired," he replied.

"Ok, then we'll leave you alone," I say going downstairs with everyone except Raven who seemed upset. I go back up the stairs and tap her shoulder and she turned to me. "Everything alright?"

"Ya everything is fine let's just go downstairs." she started towards the stairs but I grab her arm.

"You sure there's nothing you want to talk to me about?"

"I'm fine Lil, don't worry about it." she gets my hand off and walks downstairs and I follow.
