Why Monsters Come Out At Night

chapter 2

Time - 2:30am

Location - Enyos estate

"You don't know where he is?!" asked Set in a worried tone. "He was in bed when I went in here."

"Were you jacking off or something?" asked Raven.

"What? No, you sick pervert!" said Seth.

"Then what were you doing?"

"That's none of your business." Then we heard the door open to see Lucifer in the doorway holding a glass of water.

"What are you guys doing?" asked Lucifer, blushing slightly. Seth ran out and hugged Lucifer tightly still shirtless.

"Don't scare me like that!!" yelled Seth, Lucifer was now red and it looked like he was gonna pass out.

"I-i w-wont." Lucifer stuttered, holding his nose. We just stared at them with a certain look. It took a few minutes before someone said anything.

"You two gonna stop making out over there?" asked Raven. They immediately got off each other and looked away.

"Shut the fuck up Raven! We weren't even kissing!" yelled Seth.

"Can we play a game to let go of the stress?" asked Nali.

"Yes!!" I yelled. "But what game?"

"7 minutes?" Raven suggested.

"NO!" yelled Lucifer and Seth. yet we pushed them in the closet anyway except Nali being the straight one he is. We waited for a few minutes and nothing happened.

"You think Seth died or something?" I asked.

"Probably, it is Lucifer we are talking about, he's had a crush on that guy since elementary," answered Raven. She walked up to the closet door and opened it. They were asleep with Seth holding Lucifer. Raven took a picture and forgot to turn off the flash, Seth woke up from it and saw Raven with her camera. "Morning Seth."

"Why you-!" yelled Seth as he got up and ran towards Raven. She ran out to the living room and stopped in her tracks then Seth grabbed her. "Haha! Gotcha. Hey, what are you-" they had a horrified look on their face staring at something in the living room. I, Nali, and Lucifer went to look at what they were looking at. I fell to my knees and felt tears going down my cheek. In front of us was a man in his 30s with a torn, bloody body laying on the coffee table. The fact is, I knew this man, he was my father, he had only been missing for a couple of weeks so we thought he was still alive and had hope he was gonna come back but I guess we were wrong, very wrong. I didn't even notice I blacked out.

"Lil, get up we need to go!" I heard Lucifer yell. My eyes fluttered open, I hoped everything that just happened was just a nightmare but I looked back up at the table and low and behold, it wasn't, he was still laying there but something was different.

"Did we move the body to a different room and where's Nali?" I asked, still half asleep. The room was covered in what looked like flesh, it covered the windows, furniture and it was about to cover the door.

"No, the room changed and we don't know where he went but we need to get out of here, now!" Seth yelled. He and Raven helped me up and Lucifer went for the door trying to open it before it got covered.

"The doors locked!" Lucifer yelled, pulling the door "it won't move!"

"Well of course it's not going to move." we heard a familiar voice from behind us. We turned around to see Enyo looking down. It looked like he was holding something behind him. "The doors locked when you first came in." he laughed and threw what he was holding in front of us. An unconscious Nali was in front of us. "Don't worry he's not dead, yet."

"What do you mean by yet?" I asked.

"Well if you didn't notice the place is covered in a fleshy substance that substance will suck you in and make you part of it. Or we can go to a more, painful death." Enyo explained before extremely sharp teeth and long nails appeared from him confirming him a monster, specifically, a demon. We ran leaving Nali behind knowing full well none of us could run and carry him.

"This is crazy I knew this guy was suspicious but I didn't expect him to be like that!" yelled Seth. we were trying to find an exit while avoiding Enyo we also needed to go back to get Nali if he wasn't already gone.

"Look now is not the time, what we need to do now is get out of here," I yelled. The substance hadn't made it to our room yet and I knew there was a window in there. I ran over to our room and opened the door. The room was still the same as we left it, I ran to the window and tried to open it. "It's not moving, it must be locked."

"Move!" yelled Seth, he was holding a lamp and threw it at the window shattering it. They ran out but I stayed behind.

"Hurry up Lil we need to go!" yelled lucifer almost out the window.

"I'm not leaving yet I need to go get Nali no matter how annoying he can be I'm not leaving him," I tell them. I ran back to the living room and hid behind a couch.

"I dont have all night, come out and I might make your deaths painless." I heard Enyo say in a wicked tone. I looked over the couch to see Nali still where he was and unconscious but Enyo was still in the room so I pulled off my shoe and threw it towards the kitchen, Enyo looked up and walked to the kitchen. I ran over to Nali to try to wake him up.

"Nali, we need to go get up," I whispered. I heard Enyo coming back. "Nali get up or I'm leaving your ass." he wouldn't get up. I dragged him behind the couch as Enyo came back and Nali slowly started waking up. He was about to say something but I hushed him and we started making our way back to the room yet Enyo spotted us "run!" I yell we ran up to the room and Nali went out the window and I was about to leave when Enyo grabbed my leg.

"I think you forgot something." he dragged me back inside and my shoe was in his hand.
