Why Monsters Come Out At Night

Location - Enyo's estate

He threw me down on the ground and I started to crawl away from him but he kept walking towards me, then my back hit the wall, I could move back anymore. I thought I was a goner until Raven threw a rock at Enyo to get his attention, making him drop the shoe. He turned around and tried to go after her. She ran back out the window and this gave me some time to leave. I grabbed my shoe and jumped out the window. Enyo ended up getting stuck in the substance and dissolved into the floor.

"That, *inhale* was close," stated Raven heavily breathing.

"Yea, too close for comfort." Seth agreed

"Can we all agree to never do this again?" asked Nali.

"Yes!" we all agreed. We all started to try and find a way back to Raven's house but then I noticed something different. Ravens property doesn't have a river in or around it for a couple of miles, how far did we walk last night? Lucifer looked on his phone since it showed him his location.

"Um, guys? we have a problem." Lucifer spoke. We all looked at him and he showed us his phone. "My phone isn't showing me where we are."

"You sure you just don't have a connection to the internet?" asked Nali.

"Yes, I'm sure, mine works without that," explained Lucifer.

"Wait, check the time," I demanded.

"It's 6:30 why?"

"Shouldn't the sun be coming up?"

"Now that you mention it ya it should."

"And Raven if I'm correct you don't have a river around your place for a couple of miles? Well, there's one right here.'' I pointed to the river. All of us looked confused and worried. "I don't think we're in Red Aker anymore or anywhere near it."

"But the question is where are we if we're not there?" asked Raven.

"I don't know but we need to find a place to stay till the sun comes up. Hopefully this time and uninhabited one." I stated. We kept walking for what felt like hours and still, the sun never came up. We kept looking at our phones that started to die to look at the time and somehow it was 8:00 am and still no sun. we were not in Red Aker anymore. We kept walking till Seth found something.

"Hey guys, you might want to come to look at this." he quaked. He was holding a piece of paper that looked like it had some writing on it. We walked over to him and he read aloud:

To whom it may concern,

You might be wondering who I am, where you are, or why the sun is not coming up. My name is Nix, you are no longer in your world or reality and you might not return to it for some time, I have been here for what feels like years and I have no way to tell time or the date so I might have been here for days, months, or even years, all I can tell you is that you are in a place called Dystopia, home of the Red Aker monsters, and the sun does not show here. You probably just escaped Enyo, his home is the gateway to different worlds and he is the gatekeeper, once you step in his house you can't step back out. His home is also the exit but his house moves and appears in different spots every day. I haven't been able to find it since I escaped from him, and I don't think I'll make it out alive either. I'm going to die soon, they are trying to break down the door to the place I'm staying at, they found me, and they are hungry, if I'm somehow alive, come to the clock tower, I ~-----

"The page ends there," Seth stated.

"So, we're trapped?" Nali asked.

"For the simple answer, yes, we're trapped," I answered.

"I wonder how long ago this was and I hope they are ok." Nali stammered.

"Knowing how the note ends I don't think they are."

"Well, let's hope that they are."

"Face it, they are gone, we're trapped, and we will probably never make it out alive." I snapped. "I know I was the kid wondering if we could ever be friends or something with these monsters that was just a childish wish, in reality, that could never happen I mean we all saw Enyo and my dad there!" I was on the verge of crying my eyes out. I've never had so many emotions wanting to come out at once and all I could do was show anger. You can't blame me, we almost died and saw my dad's body, suddenly I felt someone hug me from behind.

"Everythings going to be fine Lil, we'll get out I promise." I heard Raven behind me. This kinda comforted me in a way. I liked this. "Let's just try and find a place to rest for now."

"Y-yeah, you're right. Let's go." I stuttered. "We should probably make our way to that clock tower."

"Yeah, but where is this said clock tower? I don't see any sort of building for a while, just trees." Lucifer asked.

"We might be able to find it, it can't be that far, right?" Nali questioned himself. "We have to think positive."

"Says the one who got us into this mess. If you didn't run off we would have never found that house and we wouldn't even be here!" Seth hissed.

"Well, you can blame me, Lucifer wanted to go knock on the door first!" Nali yelled.

"Don't you dare bring Lucifer into this!" Seth demanded.

"Guys can we not yell? We don't want to attract anything out here," I asked.

"Well too bad, he pointed it out, and I panicked, blame him," Nali argued

"Well, you still shouldn't have run off." Then we heard rustling in the bushes behind us. We all slowly turned our heads to see a giant snake-like tail with a blue and red coloration.

"Run." I trembled. We started running and whatever it was chased us, and it seemed like more were coming after us. We ran until we saw this tall clock tower. "Get over to the clock tower I'll meet you there," I yell. I slowed down a bit and ran in another direction and for some reason, they all came after me even tho I was faster. Maybe because I slowed down a bit? I ran a little bit longer till I was close to the tower when I realized I wasn't being chased anymore. I looked up at the tower. 'Kinda reminds me of the clock tower in Mom's painting' i thought. My mom always loved drawing and anything with art shed make sculptures, paintings, and even her characters. I got to the door of the tower and saw everyone else there except Nali. "where's Nali?" they all looked down.

Rave started to speak. "When you ran off, not too long after, another one came and got him when we thought all of them chased you. None of us expected it and..." Raven paused. "We tried. I swear we tried to get him back."

"It's ok, you tried your best." I tried to not cry, sure he was annoying at times but I knew him since first grade I can't just not do anything. "Let's just go in." with our heads down, we walked inside the clock tower.
