[At the king's chamber where the officers are having their council meeting]
The illusion enveloping the room paused and slowly disappear, revealing the chamber, the officers, and the panting Grand Mage.
"I do apologize if I had to take a short break. It is quite difficult to use the Book of Atlas since it consumes my mana rather quickly," said the Grand Scholar as he sat down, drank a glass of water, and wiped his sweat with a piece of cloth.
Celestial Knight Eve opened her sling pouch and took out three mana stones which she laid on the conference table, "here you go, sir William. This should help you recover your mana."
Lt. Pukuku, who was seated beside Eve, grabbed the stones and slid them across the table towards the Grand Scholar.
William grabbed two stones and slid one back across the table towards Lt. Pukuku, "this should be enough, thank you, Celestial Knight."
The Grand Scholar gripped the stones tightly within his hand causing the stones to crack. The stones emitted blue light which passed through the gaps of William's fist and his strength was regained.
"Here you go," said Lt. Pukuku as he hands the excess mana stone to Eve.
Eve slowly moved away and said, "y-you can h-have it, lieutenant."
The Grand Scholar stood and took out the Book of Atlas, he activated its magic and the visual illusion once again covered the chamber.
The officers stood as the king's chamber turned into a different scenery, they are now in front of Valgus' castle, inside the Kingdom of Light.
Lt. Jarmaine, turned her head and she saw seven armored Gods walking towards them, "it's the Gods!" she shouted.
The officers turned and froze, as they saw the mighty beings who were responsible for their creation and the creation of their power, walk past through them.
The Grand Scholar continued to narrate.
The mighty Gods of Lightning, Fire, Water, Wind, Ice, Earth, and Metal entered the God of Light's castle.
"How may we serve you, Father?" said Venasus, the God of Wind, as the Gods kneeled before Valgus who stood in front of them.
"Rise my children, thank you for heeding my call," said Valgus as he sat on his throne.
Terrus, the God of Earth, raised his hand and the ground erected and created an elongated table and eight seats. The Gods sat down and noticed an empty seat.
"Darceis is late," said Mettaris the God of Metal.
"He will not be joining this meeting, as your brother committed treason. The fool dared to raise his weapon against me, questioned my work, and threatened the existence of our creation and our lives, for his selfishness. This is the reason why I call for your aid," said Valgus.
"Are we in war, Father?" asked Vodana, the God of Water.
"Not yet, but we will soon be. Darceis is forming his army using the corrupted souls present in his kingdom, but it will take him time and a lot of his strength to command such great mass of soldiers and to equip them with the power to fight," said Valgus.
"Then, let's create your army, Father. You do have a great number of souls here in your kingdom," said Fugari, the God of Fire.
"It might seem to be the appropriate retaliation my son, however, I do not wish to disrupt the kind and gentle souls in my kingdom," said Valgus.
"Are we able to handle Darceis and his army on our own?" said Yelora, the God of Ice.
"I'm afraid not, my child. However, I have a proposition. We will be creating our army, with the help of the living beings that we have created," said Valgus.
