The sun rose above the castle of Bright Moon. The flowers flourished as they bloomed and soaked in that sweet summer juice. The Moonstone glowed vibrantly as guards came and went out of the castle.
Adora walked down the hallway. She was excited as she turned to face Dr. Wolf's room. She knocked on the door. "Doc? Are you awake?"
A voice came from inside the room. "Come on in, Adora. I'm just getting ready."
Adora walked into the room and looked around. Dr. Wolf was sitting on his bed, getting back into the clothes he had worn the day he arrived on Etheria. "Woah, you look... amazing with those on."
Dr. Wolf blushed. "Thanks. I thought about putting them back on since they were being mended for the past few weeks." He stood up. He was wearing his purple shirt and brown shorts. "So, how do they look? Are they okay? Are there any rips or holes?"
Adora examined the shirt and smiled. "Nope. They seem to be okay. No rips or holes in sight." She grabbed Doc's hand. "Now, come on. Glimmer wants us to meet her in the War Room."
Dr. Wolf followed Adora to the War Room. Ever since arriving in Bright Moon that fateful day, he was taken in and was cared for as if he was someone's lost child. Adora especially cared for him the most.
Dr. Wolf and Adora entered the War Room. The table was lit up with the holographic map on. It was able to know every location on Etheria, especially where the Horde lived. Glimmer and Bow sat in their chairs.
"Adora, Doc, you're here." Glimmer said. She jumped out of her chair and ran over to Adora and Doc, giving them a hug. She looked at Dr. Wolf. "So, how'd you sleep?"
"Oh, I slept great." Dr. Wolf said. He looked at Bow. "Good morning, Bow. Did you have a good night's rest?"
"Nope. I was too excited about today last night." Bow said. He looked at the worried bipedal wolf. "Okay, I may have slept a little but I was still excited."
"About what? What's so exciting about today?" Dr. Wolf asked.
Adora gasped. "You didn't know? I thought Glimmer told you."
Glimmer chuckled nervously. "Yeah, sorry. I was a tad bit sleepy after last night." She cleared her throat. "Anyway, Doc, tonight is the Princess Ball."
"Or as we like to call it 'Princess Prom'." Bow chimed in.
"Okay, but what's the Princess Ball?" Dr. Wolf asked. "I've never heard of it."
"It's an event that happens every ten years."
Dr. Wolf turned around to see Queen Angella standing behind him. Her long pink and purple hair hung over her shoulders. "Your Majesty, morning." Dr. Wolf quickly bowed to her.
Angella chuckled. "Doc, there's no need to bow. You're our guest and please call me Angella."
Dr. Wolf blushed. He quickly stood up. "Right. Sorry, Angella. It's an old habit of mine." He realized what the Queen said. "Wait, did you say that this Princess Ball happens every ten years?"
"That's correct. Every princess is sent an invitation from the Ball's revered hostess." Queen Angella said. "And this year's theme is Seashore Seaside in the kingdom of Salineas."
"Wait, Mermista is hosting the Ball?" Dr. Wolf asked. The queen nodded. Doc smiled and hugged Adora. "I get to go too, right?"
"Of course. When a princess gets an invitation, they can bring a guest with them." Queen Angella said. "But, there are rules to be followed if you're going to the ball, Doc."
"Of course, Angella. Whatever the rules are, I'll follow them." Dr. Wolf said. If he was going to attend the Princess Ball, he'd be willing to follow the rules of it.
