it was friday, and jay would stare at jungwon in school and even became more clingy to jungwon. he told heeseung and sunghoon and the two hugged him for dear life. he also told riki and sunoo about him leaving, and he begged them to not tell jungwon about it.

"but what about jungwon?" sunoo furrowed his eyebrows when jay pulled sunki at the school's garden to talk about his departure, which was tomorrow morning.

"he'll be devastated to find out you only told him when you're leaving really soon," riki frowned, hugging sunoo's arm.

"mm. he'll be really hurt," sunoo mumbled.

"i promise you guys, i'm telling him.."

"when?" sunoo asked.

"later-"

"alright, hyung. goodluck, jungwon would really be upset about it but he won't be angry at you for long," sunoo cut him off and glanced at riki. the two obviously cared about how jungwon would react, which made jay frown at the thought of jungwon being upset when he leaves.

"can you two promise me something?"

"what is it?" riki asked.

jay sighed and looked at the two of them sincerely, "please take care of jungwon for me, okay..? make sure he eats all of his meals and be there for him when he's stressed with school."

"we will, we promise you, hyung," riki smiled and the two friends hugged jay, "we'll miss you."

jungwon left his classroom after class dismissed. thankfully, he didn't have any other thing to do since he finished his tasks earlier than usual- which was odd but jungwon felt like it was right. the whole day, riki and sunoo would look at him and jay from time-to-time. they had unreadable expressions, as if the three were hiding something from him.

"jungwon-ah," jay slid his hand on jungwon's, "leaving early?" he asked, a small smile on his face, yet his eyes seemed to look somehow sad.

"yeah," jungwon chuckled and squeezed jay's hand.

"i'll drive you home," jay said softly. his tone sounded different today- it was unusually too soft and quiet, which made jungwon worried.

they walked to jay's car in silence, hand-in-hand. after jay started driving off, jungwon found himself staring at jay's side figure. the blond seemed to be lost in his thoughts while staring at the road.

"hyung? are you alright?" jungwon asked, snapping jay from his thoughts.

"hm? yeah, i'm fine," he faked a chuckle, biting his tongue gently to avoid himself from blurting out random things. he glanced at jungwon.

for some reason, jay couldn't bring himself to tell jungwon about his departure. everytime he tried, he couldn't utter out his words.

"hyung, my house is here."

"ah, of course," jay slowed down the car as they arrived in front of jungwon's house. he sighed silently, staring at jungwon.

"well, thanks for the ride, hyung~," jungwon smiled, his dimples showing as he gripped on his bag strap. "i'll see you at school in monday~."

jungwon was about to open the car door when jay held his wrist, "wait, jungwon..."

"hm?" jungwon's head perked to jay's direction.

jay felt his stomach churn at the sight of the younger's doe eyes. oh, how jungwon had no idea. 'this might be the last time i'll see him for a long while...' jay thought.
