She steps forward and looks at herself in the mirror, she smiles as she flattens the white dress against her stomach. She couldn't believe it finally she was getting married to the man she loved most in the world.
Nikki had to admit the dress had become a little more tighter around the breast area, she was hiding a secret and wondered if anyone had noticed yet.
"You look amazing Nikki" a voice comes from behind her, snapping her out of the day dream.
"You think?" She smiles turning around to see Clarissa watching her from the other side of the room.
"Jack is going to be speechless" Clarissa responds as she moves over to the blonde and smiles cheerfully. "Now I know Thomas is giving you away and your parents aren't here anymore but I'll never have any children but this is for you, it's yours now" Clarissa smiles as she hands her friend a bracelet.
Nikki looks at the silver bracelet in her hand, "oh it's beautiful Clarissa thank you" Nikki smiles as she crouches to give her a hug.
"You'll be able to give it to your future children" she grins watching Nikki put the bracelet on. "So when are you going to tell him?" Clarissa adds.
Nikki snaps her head up at Clarissa, her eyes widening. "What?" She stumbles.
"It's not hard to notice Nikki, I came with you when you tried that dress on in the first place..." Clarissa speaks.
"Tonight I think," Nikki smiles.
The blonde pathologist turns to look at herself into the mirror and admires the finishing touches.
There is a knock at the door and Thomas puts his head around the door and looks at Nikki. "Almost ready? Jack is downstairs now" he smiles.
"Think so! How do I look?" She asks with a nervous smile turning to face her boss.
"You look stunning Nikki."
Nikki smiles softly at his comment and flattens her hands over her stomach again. She takes a deep breath in and walks over to the door followed by Clarissa, her life was about to change for the better and yet her husband to be had no idea of her little secret.
The make their way downstairs and wait for Clarissa to come out the lift, walking to the venue room in the hotel she watches as Clarissa goes ahead to alert the vicar.
Nikki links arms with Thomas and smiles as he places a soft kiss on her cheek. Smiling she takes a step forward, "I never imagined myself in a wedding dress."
