Fated [JUJUTSU KAISEN x READER]

Prologue

As she kneeled down the Minka's veranda her emerald eyes remain to stare blankly over the tranquil garden with only the sound of insects with the pure babble of the pond harmonizing together. Two nurses, Ito and Tanaka approach the girl with extreme caution to avoid creating startling her, bringing along a tray of necessities in their arms.

Ito kneels down behind her and Tanaka besides her. Together they slowly remove the bandages on her head revealing healing stitches, "Did I hurt my head?" She asks without emotion. It's a question that resonated to both Tanaka and Ito's head everyday for the past five months. But they couldn't complain because this day is considered a good one compared to the days where she screams her heart out from agony.

The usual routine within the four walls of the Zenin's secluded country house consists of taking care of Kazui Zenin who became a ghost of a person and lost in a endless void of nothingness and she does not speak at all or move which is worrying and on rare occasions she's screaming loudly in fear and suffering, sometimes even hurting herself in the process but nothing more than deep scratches and sometimes ripping her stitches open.

"Yes." Ito and Tanaka replies in unison. They were used to it, they felt pity on the young lady witnessing her agonizing oblivion of reality.

When they were first hired by Naobita Zenin they already sensed something was odd. Being a former jujutsu students before they entered their current line of work they were aware of the infamous Zen in clan.  A problematic powerful sorcerer family, who from the rumors they have heard, brings no mercy and toleration for the weaker link within their circle. It is apparent that even older members of their clan remains to be healthy and kicking—Naobita, a case in point. Being hired to take care of Kazui who is reduced to someone who is barely there, almost like a ghost was indeed out of character for the Zenin's.

Their introduction to job was very straightforward, a high offer pay to take care of silver haired girl while keeping their mouths shut. They started to work with her while she was still hooked on to countless of machines with her life dependent on it. For the first month almost everyday she was on death's door. Ieiri, the doctor on Jujutsu Tech announced it was too late and that she'll be death within minutes when Itadori and Megumi bought Kazui to her after the attack during the 30th Kyoto-Sister School Goodwill Event. Badly injured, suffering from a deep laceration in neck severing most of her carotids and one of her eye almost falling off, all caused by a special grade curse's attack and also by purposely getting in the way while Satoru Gojo unleashed his void.

Kazui on that day was ridden by anger after the curse harmed Megumi she was determined. It only took one look at the injured Megumi for her to completely abandon her surviving instinct and turn full on protective, pinning down the curse so violently as it tried to escape at the last second while Satoru Gojo performed his technique just to be certain it was exorcised and obliterated from the face on the earth.

After that horrific few seconds, Yuji who was a few feet away from her dashed to the scene scouring the rubbles despite the voice in the back of his head telling him no one would survive an attack like that which is true. His body froze for a second seeing a horrific sight of Kazui, her body almost covered in blood that was still streaming continuously out to the surface from her body.

Megumi who was being carried by Panda felt hostile witnessing that flashy scene from afar, "Must be Gojo-Sensei." Panda said so casually but after everything cleared up he suddenly remembers the look Kazui gave him before taking over the fight against the special grade curse. His heart stopped realizing what might have happen in that blast. He jumps out of Panda's arm and ran towards where the blast happened ignoring the excruciating pain in his stomach that was pierced earlier with poison. When he was near the scene he felt his spine crawl seeing Itadori's horrified face from a distant.
