KazuiAm I dead?
It's no longer freezing and I feel comfortingly warm"Is she awake? We're almost near." I heard a voice.
I feel so tired and the excruciating pain is still there. I slowly opened my eyes and I'm in moving car.
How did I get here?
I looked down on my body and I'm covered with a thick blanket. I wandered my eyes and besides me is a man not much younger than I was, with two strands of his hair tied up in front of his face. His eyes barely showing as if he's keeping them closed. My eyes wandered to front and I saw the back of the head of someone with strands of their hair tied from the back using a ribbon.
I groaned when I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach, catching the attention of person in front and the man besides me. "Oh you're awake."
I just looked over to her observing the scar across her face, "Well don't speak you're badly injured. I called Shoko from Tokyo to come here in Tokyo to mend your injuries." She said so casually as if I know who is she's talking about.I look over outside and we were surrounded by the woods and approaching to what looks like a very widespread wall with traditional japanese buildings peeking behind it.
Are they bringing me to a temple? Did I just get kidnapped by a cult?
I couldn't protest, I have to save my energy in case they do some crazy ritual where it requires human sacrifice. The car finally stopped a few feet away from a large Torii entrance. The woman got out first followed by the driver and lastly the man who sat besides me. I watched the woman and the man talk outside briefly to what seems like he was being ordered by her and immediately wore an annoyed expression before walking to the car door on my side. He opens the door and offered his hand.
I stared at his hand for a few seconds. I'm still suspicious about the whole thing.
"No thanks." I said making him scoff and walk away.
I forced myself to stand up and pick up my backpack from the car's floor before and I walk towards the Torii. I looked over to the lady who gave me a warm smile, "Welcome to Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School." She said.My heart skipped a beat realizing what it meant. I'm aware of the existence of Jujutsu Sorcerers and Curses and I'm well aware of not judging a person immediately but from my experience hearing how badly they have treated by father, throwing him in a den full of curses, abusing and humiliating him for being different and making him the person, aside from being my father, who killed due to the hatred they implanted on him. I respect their mission to protect the weak but I just can't be here. I can't be near this world.
They try so hard to eliminate curses for their evil but the cruelty alone of humanity creates far worse evil than curses, corrupted humans. If my father was shown kindness when he was younger everything would be different today, he would've found happiness and lived a better life maybe—maybe he'd still be alive.
"I should leave." I replied. I held my stomach and hoped my body will not give up on me as I walked away.
Only taking few steps, my knees fell to the ground.
The man walked over to me and grabbed my arm to pull me up, "Can you stop being stubborn?"
I gravitated my arm back and shoved him with the little strength I had on me. I tried to stand back up but my legs seemed to not work. Without speaking another word, the man carried me in his arms and I wanted to fight back but I'm all drained of energy and just gave up.
