Chapter 35

Percy's POV

"We're here." breathed Annabeth nervously.

All of us were on the front deck staring ahead at the mountain.

Thousands of monsters were there, going up and down.

The Hesperides were nowhere to be seen.

Even Ladon was gone.

"Come on let's go." I urged

We trudged up the mountain as fast but as silently as we could.

The monsters couldn't notice us because Annabeth put a charm on us. It made us invisible.

When we finally reached the top, to our horror Aria was holding the weight of the sky as Atlas whipped her.

We took a risk and went further, crouching behind a rock.
He was slashing at her back mercilessly.

She stood her ground and kept silent.

Isabella was sitting on a throne made of bones smirking evilly at her mother.

I took a glance at Annabeth and saw her tearing up.

I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

She looked at me gratefully but the pain in her eyes were as clear as daylight.

Suddenly, a hooded figure appeared.

It was the guy who captured Aria.

Annabeth clenched her fist.

"Isabella, it looks like we have some intruders." he spoke.

How? Impossible! We're invisible!!!

Isabella's eyes flashed with rage.

"Come out come out wherever you are darling sister. I bet you have your pathetic little friends with you too now don't you." she spat, leaping up and standing in her battle stance, sword in her hands.

"Leave it to me." said the hooded figure

He snapped his fingers and just like that we became visible again.

Instantly, everyone's eyes were on us.

We leaped to our feet and stood back to back.

Aria looked at Annabeth in shock and a tear rolled down her cheek.

No she mouthed.

"Give my mother back." said Annabeth firmly.

"What makes you think I would do so?" asked the hooded figure.

"Who are you?" I demanded

"I am a primordial. You're lovers...uncle you could say. I am Chaos's brother. I am End." he replied

"Why did you take my mother?" demanded Annabeth furiously.

"I wanted the throne but no, your father had it. I wanted your mother's hand but as usual, your father has it. I am only here to take back what is rightfully mine. ATTACK!!!" he screamed.

With that one word, thousands upon thousands of monsters, demons and creatures of other worlds, maybe even galaxies lunged at us.

All Chaos broke loose.
