Chapter 4

Dumbledore POV

I got to the perimeter of the apparition wards at 10:56 and apparated to just outside of Nurmengard's wards. I made sure I wasn't followed, and went to Gellert's cell.

"Hey G" I said as I walked into his cell. I walked over to him and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Hi Albus, it's not a Hogsmeade weekend"

"Yea, I know, but I heard Albert leaves the school every Monday, and I was wondering if he comes here"

"Yes, he does" he replied "Why doesn't he come with you"

"He can't"

Albert POV

I watched as Remus walked back toward dad's office. I knew where he was going, so I just went to the edge of the Hogwarts anti-apparition wards, and took off my glamour. Wizards aren't supposed to be able to apparate until age 17, but I could at age 13.

It is an illegal apparition, but they won't know it's me, there is too much magic around me. One apparition couldn't hurt, unless I splinched myself. I apparated to the edge of Nurmengard's wards, and walked in cautiously making sure people didn't see me go in.

"Hi, father" I said as I unlocked his cell, and went in.

"Hello Albert" he said happily "Is your dad here" he asked but I think he knows the answer. I came alone a lot, because dad can't leave every Monday. He also doesn't know I come.

Quick Grindelwald POV

"Is your dad here?" I asked. I looked at Albus, quickly made eye contact, then looked away.

Back to Albert POV

"No" I answered

"Like always" he chuckled as if he knew something I didn't. I heard shuffling from the shadows. I looked over and my dad stepped out from the shadows. It is kind of creepy, when someone steps from the shadows like he did. He walked over to us.

"Why didn't I know about this, Albert" my dad questioned

"Yea, why didn't he know" father asked

"I didn't know until Remus told me, he knew what time you left, and I had an idea where you went" When he said it, I mentally kicked myself, I should have been more careful before apparating, not just after

"Why did you follow me"

"You can ask your father about that," dad said. I turned to my father, who was giggling next to me

"What I'm hearing is neither of you knew the other was coming"

"No" dad and I said at the same time

"Albert, your dad comes every Hogsmeade weekend" he said "Albus, he comes every Monday, as you've just found out" I was surprised to hear he could come so often without being caught by other staff "What I don't understand is why you don't come at the same time"

"Didn't we talk about this" dad asked me

"Yeah, you said I couldn't go every Hogsmeade weekend because someone might get suspicious, so I used my knowledge and power to get here every Monday"

"Oh yeah, you got a mix of his power and my power and you're able to apparate. You can do wordless and wandless magic can't you" dad said "That's how you tricked you friends isn't it"

"He tricked his friends" my father repeated amused

"Yes, they think he is a metamorphmagus"

"Hmm, manipulation is not a good thing" father stated
