Lie or Die

Chapter 6

Dumbledore POV

"Don't be too surprised if someone walks in and thinks father has you pinned down" We knew he was leaving so we said bye to him. A few minutes later I heard a gasp, someone had walked in, and thought we were fighting, just like Albert said. He threw my wand on the floor to make it look like I got disarmed and my wand flew out of my hand.

"Headmaster, are you ok?" I recognized Minnie's terrified voice. We hadn't broken our hug yet, so I didn't answer in words, I just mumbled "mhm"

"Yes" I said once we broke our hug. We took more of a fighting stance while not moving too much. Gellert brought his wand from harmless on my chest up to my chin to look more like he was going to hurt or kill me, we both knew he wouldn't hurt me. Minnie didn't though

"Go get Albert for me" I said trying to sound still trapped. "I don't think anyone else has the knowledge to defeat him except Albert" Gellert chuckled at this, he knew I just wanted to get rid of her. Unluckily and luckily at the same time, she cast a spell at him. He just deflected it and she thought he was laughing at her. She then left to go get Albert.

Albert POV

McGonagall came bursting into the common room, panting. I had a feeling she walked on my parents make-out session and assumed they were fighting, like I said someone would.

"Albert, your dad is cornered in his office, and he said only you could stop Grindelwald" she panted. Yep, I was right, she walked in, and dad used me as a way to get rid of her.

"Ok" was all I said when getting up "No-one needs to follow me, no-one needs to help me, save yourselves"

"No, we're coming with you," James said, standing up with Remus and Sirius. Peter was asleep in the dorm

"No, you are not. I know how to stop Grindelwald; I was there when my dad stopped him the first time" I said "Bye" I sprinted out of sight and made sure no-one saw me stop and turn around to go a short route. I got to the door and waited for a little bit. I was gonna be nice and give them a little longer. They don't get too much time alone, with my father being on the run and my dad as headmaster, but I heard dad scream.

Dumbledore POV

Minnie left and Gellert dropped his wand and pulled me into another hug. We knew our alone time was ending, Minnie would be back with Albert, and he would attack to free me then I might have to hurt the love of my life again.

"Hey" Gellert said kindly "I can hear the gears turning in your head. What's wrong?"

"I don't want to fight or hurt you. Worst of all, kill you." I said silent tears streaming down my face

"We can't remember" He reassured

"Can't what" I asked tears still running down

"Fight. Albert has kept it safe remember" he said it and I remembered the pact

"Hmm, but people think it is destroyed"

"But it's not, and that's what matters" He pulled away and he looked into my eyes.

"You need to attack me" I said quietly

"What. No."

"Yes, please just trust me. What if Minnie walks in and sees you in the same stance you were in before. You need to attack me, it doesn't have to be a fatal spell and once the person leaves, you can heal me, if it's Albert tell him I told you to do it. He knows you wouldn't hurt me" He kissed my nose, then put his wand to my right arm
