All of the lights on the bus were off.
"WELCOME HOME" everybody shouted when we opened the door.
There was a big banner that read 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY/WELCOME HOME'.
"Who's birthday is it?" Jacky asked.
"Well since we never got to finish celebrating Adrianna and Aaron's birthday we decided to do it today" Derek explained.
"OH YEAH. I'll be right back" I ran into my room and grabbed the terribly wrapped guitar case from under my bed.
I skipped into the kitchen and placed it in front of Aaron. He gave me a funny look and started to unwrap it. He opened the case and then looked up to me. I smile nervously. I wasn't one hundred percent sure he would like it but I didn't know what else to get him.
"Are you really giving this to me?" He asked.
I nodded in response and he pulled me into a giant bear hug.
"Thank you so much" he said.
I sniffled and whipped away the tears in my eyes.
"Just take care of it for me" I told him.
"Trust me, I will" he said.
"Okay it's your turn now!" He said.
He pulled out an envelope and handed it to me. I opened and stared at the three slips of paper.
"No fucking way"
I said staring at the Of Mice & Men concert tickets.
"Wait. There's more" he handed me another envelope.
He got me Of Mice & Men AND Sleeping With Sirens Concert tickets.
"You're the best fucking brother ever" I tackled him into a hug.
"I know" he said.
Jacky whispered something to Ronnie and he went into our room. Ronnie came out a few seconds later with a black box and handed it to Jacky. Jacky handed the black box to me. Inside the box was a black dog tag with the Of Mice & Men '&' with Of Mice & Men written under it. On the opposite side it said 'You won't bring me down, I've got my feet on solid ground'
"Oh my gosh thank you so much" I said as I pulled Jacky into a hug.
"You're welcome" he kissed my forehead.
"Okay now lets finish this cake" Ryan said as they brought the other half of our cake.
They put candles on it and sang happy birthday again. It was just as awkward a the first they sang it. We brought our cake into the living room and sat on the couch.
"I was thinking, since I'm sure none of us want to go back to Florida, that we could rent and apartment or something" Ronnie suggested.
"Dude our aunt lives in Dayton. We could probably stay with here" Aaron said(I don't know where if I said where Aaron's and Adrianna's aunt lives, but if I did, she lives in Dayton, Ohio now).
"Okay, just make sure she doesn't mind all of us and the dogs" Ronnie said.
Aaron pulled out his phone and called Aunt May. They talked for a few minutes and then hung up.
"She said to come anytime" Aaron told us.
"So do we want to spend the night in the bus or-"
"NO" everybody interrupted Ronnie.
"Okay then we'll leave tonight. I'll go tell the bus driver" Ronnie said.
"How long does it take to get to Dayton?" Derek asked.
