sunghoon spent the whole weekend trying to decide on how to speak to eunji and once he mustered up enough courage, he couldn't find her.

he tried to go back to the store to see if she was working again, but mr. seo had told him that it was just a one time thing and that he hasn't seen her since.

"sunghoon, why are you looking for that girl?" mr. seo questions. "i want to be friends with her, sir."

"i'm going to be honest with you, then. eunji came into my store around 2 in the morning. she was tired and hungry but had no money. i told her that i would give her a place to stay and eat for the night if she worked the next day and she agreed."

sunghoon was shocked that mr. seo gave him that information so quickly. "why are you telling me this so suddenly?"

"you have a good heart, kid. i think she needs that right now. her home life must not be good. i saw cuts and bruises on her leg."

the boy's lips part in shock.

how could someone so kind like her get punished in return?

"t-thank you, mr. seo."

he walked home and became even more dumbfounded on how to talk to her. it's not that he was scared (he was, though) what was he going to say to her?

sunghoon was never good at talking to people, hence why he only talks to jake. jake talks alot and sunghoon just listens to him; their dynamic works out perfectly.

once the boy reaches home, he lays in his bed wanting to scream at how frustrated he feels.
