he was nice, but eunji didn't feel entirely safe since he was a man. she didn't want to take any risks; better safe than sorry, right?

upon arriving at school, she was instantly thrown into discussions by other people. she could hear them whisper about her, mainly because they weren't being so subtle, especially with their stares and pointed fingers.

not many people knew about eunji's crush on sunghoon because she liked to keep it pretty lowkey. she thought it was embarrassing if people knew she was just like every other girl in the school with the same crush. but yerin knew.

"hey! nam eunji!" the girl hears her name being called. it was lunch time and she could feel her stomach growling, but she still turns.

"what's wrong with you, huh? have you heard about park sunghoon staring at you?" yerin shoves her slightly but eunji was just confused.

"don't think too much of it. he's staring because of how ugly you are." she insults and grabs eunji's wrist.

"wait, where are you taking me?!"

"to see my friends. they have something to tell you." yerin pushes open the courtyard door and eunji falls on the ground, now surrounded by 4 more girls.

"perfect." one of them mutters before they land a swift kick to eunji's stomach. the girl was in too much pain to stand up and fight back so she just sat there, letting herself get kicked around with bruises forming already.

this happens at home, so it must be what i deserve.

after what feels like forever, a teacher had seen what was happening and the girls scattered like a scared flock of birds. eunji was barely conscious, feeling like she could pass out.

"nam eunji! are you alright?" the teacher leans down next to her but she had already blacked out.
