a new week has started and the students return to school after a long weekend. sunghoon could not stop thinking about eunji and ways he could talk to her, yet he was never able to find a way.

the girl showed up to school like always and sunghoon just stared at her. no matter what was happening in their class, he would find himself staring at her.

he didn't realize until jake had said something, though. it was like everyone noticed his staring except himself and eunji.

not to mention, his stares resulted in a ton of girls becoming jealous.

sunghoon stood quietly behind two girls, scrolling through his phone aimlessly while waiting for them to move from the vending machine so he could get his daily snack. his foot grows impatient, tapping faster as each second passes.

"hey, you know that one girl? what's her name?" one of the girls say. "eunji?" the other answers. the boy's ears perk up at the sound of her name. he slowly slides his phone back into his pocket to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"yes! her! she's annoying. she's not even that pretty. you can see her stomach fat poking out of her shirt." the girl groans and sunghoon furrows his eyebrows. "i don't even know why sunghoon was staring at her." she exclaims and the boy was about to open his mouth when the other girl begins to speak.

"she's so chubby. i can see her double chin from her side profile. you're right. a girl like that isn't worth the stares of our prince." by this time, sunghoon was furious. the anger built up within him as he continued to listen to their conversation and he just couldn't take it anymore.

he takes a deep breath before speaking, "jealous?" his sudden voice scares the two girls and they turn around to face him. "s-sunghoon, what are you doing here?" they ask nervously.

he recognized them but didn't know their names. "aren't you the girls who always annoy me and jake during lunch?" he asks them, recalling the moment they came to give them some cookies they baked.

that wasn't the only time they were bothered, but that was the one that stuck out most to him since it happened just yesterday. the two stare quietly at the floor. "are you going to answer me?" he questions angrily. "we're sorry!" one of them blurts out. "sorry to who?"

"we're sorry, sunghoon!" the other cries out. "don't be sorry to me. be sorry to eunji." he tells them with a threatening look on his face. the girls' faces contort into confusion. "e-eunji? why, sunghoon?" they question. he rolls his eyes in annoyance.

"stop saying my name. are you stupid? i heard your conversation about her." although sunghoon was furious, his tone remained calm, which scared the girls even more.

"if i hear you speak bad about eunji, i won't hesitate to find you." he responds, turning on his heels to walk to the cafeteria.
