LXVIII

Jungkook exhaled as he felt the pain finally fade away. Lucifer flicked his fingers, stopping the spell he was using to heal him up. When he finished, Taehyung rushed over to him with a glass of water.

"Do you feel better?"

Jungkook hummed before grabbing the glass of water and then taking a sip.

"Yeah... thanks."

Lucifer sighed, crossing his arms.

"You see, i can't leave you alone even for a moment. But from now on i presume that you should be safer... altough, there are probably ones who rebelled so, you should still be carefull."

Even the tought of not getting any peace was agitating. Yet not wanting to loose one another... that feeling was stronger. It made Jungkook rather furious while Taehyung remained calm for the time being.

"Don't worry. We will keep an eye for each other."

Lucifer nodded, soon after his eyes catching a small shadow in the corner of the room. A familiar.

"It seems you two won't be the only ones who keep an eye out for each other. But oh well, since i'll be staying here until your nephew is born, i guess you could relax. But don't be too relaxed, i am a bust man as well."

Having said that he slowly walked out of the room, later leaving the house to... who knows where.

Meanwhile, being left alone, Taehyung memorized Jungkook's facial expressions, trying to find words to calm his grim expression down.

"Hey... we have strong people by our side. Don't worry too much-"

Jungkook pulled his arm away before Taehyung could even touch it.

"That's not the issue here. No matter how much we try to keep things calm, people keep coming after us. We will never have peace if it continues like this... and it pains me to see it."

Taehyung bit his lip, thinking of a way out.

"We don't have to keep facing these troubles. It will all be over soon... and, maybe it already is over-"

Jungkook sighed.

"You heard Lucifer. There must he a rebellion from the group that came today. We still have to be on guard."

Taehyung hummed, now finally reaching out to hold Jungkook's hand.

"Yes. And we will do it together. So be calm. I will always be beside you."

Jungkook's heart became slightly relieved as he watched Taehyung kiss his arm.

In that moment of silence nothing else seemed to matter as he drifted off to a diffrent world, inside Taehyung's eyes.

But that moment quickly dissapeared as soon as Lee slammed the doors of the room.

"Oh- thank satan you two are alright. When those council members came into the room i got really stressed. How did you guys get away?"

Taehyung smiled.

"As you said- thanks Satan. He kinda gave us a hand. But... why are you here?"

Lee sighed in relief, thinking of Lucifers actions lately. A man of mystery, yet can't keep himself away from trouble as well.
So it was Jungkook and Taehyung who he was here for. That explains the situations lately. He could see the connections.

"I ended the classes for today so that we could all take a deep breath. But i guess i didn't need to do that now knowing it was Lucifer who helped you guys."
