The smell of the freshly brewed coffee beans, mixed with the smell of a cold foggy weather, made it a perfect day to read a book. Maybe read it together with a loved one. Yet the tought of it didn't seem as warm to Jungkook anymore.
As he stared down at his coffee with batting eyes, he felt his back muscles tense and his head ache. He couldn't sleep last night at all.

He knew what he said to Taehyung was out of question and he regretted it. But even if he apologized right now, he just wouldn't seem sincere. Aside from that he still couldn't understand Taehyung. So he didn't even had the right to.

He lazily tilted his head to the side to look out the window and saw the fog covering the green forest whole. The color of the leaves were turning slightly pale, while the soft amber of red and orange made them look dreamy. Autumn was on the door, yet it felt like it had come too fast. Maybe because he had spent the summer, living it to the fullest. With Taehyung.

He suddenly sighed at the tought whilst closing his eyes to relax his mind even though he couldn't seem to. Yet the attempt seemed more tempting than consuming himself in hate and regret.

Slowly, he grabbed his cup of coffee and took a seat on the couch. Noone was at home today... well, noone being Hansuk. He hadn't seen him ever since last night because he had left the ceremony right after Taehyung did. His heart couldn't bare the pain and anger. So rather than pointing those negative emotions onto his sister's special day and everyone else, he decided to leave. It was just better for everyone. Definetly.

The house just felt empty, even lonely. Just until now, Jungkook hadn't really tought about just how quiet his house could be. Back then, there was Aimi with her nagging and Hansuk with his commanding behavior, making the enviorment in this house and family rather hectic. Hectic... he scoffed at the tought. At least it felt like home back then. But now... it was just an empty box with an unfamiliar scent. The place had started to smell like anew house, having no scent of the living, nor food. Even the smell of the newly brewed coffee just seemed to fade away into the cold cream walls.

He then looked at his side to remember Taehyung yet again. That's right. Aside from his family, he had been the one whom he had felt the most at ease with. Wherever place he went with him was his home. Taehyung, was his home.

Jungkook sighed loudly to shake off his toughts. He was definetly going to cry if he continued like this.

So he pulled his arm up to sip from his coffee, but when he did, he couldn't even bring himself to swallow it. It felt more bitter than usual. Maybe it was the taste... or the mood.

Pushing it away on the coffee table, he rubbed his eyes with his palms before standing up. Just then, the doorbell rang, making Jungkook get startled by it.

Curious, he went over and opened the door, only to be faced with the devil himself. The literal one.

"You look like shit."

Jungkook looked down at his chest, then averting his gaze to the forest behind him.

"I couldn't sleep. Why are you here?"

Lucifer grinned.

"What- i can't come to visit you just because i want to?"

After a moment of pause and no response, Lucifer sighed.

"Well, i did come with a reason after all. I came to bid my farewell."

Jungkook's throat slightly itched as he crossed his arms.

"You're going back to hell?"

Lucifer hummed.

"I must. After all, i have my duties as the king. Since i'm done with my job here, i should slowly go back."
