LXXV

So he decided to attend the academy today after all. Well, not for the classes but to just have a look around to ease his mind from Jungkook.
But on his way in, he had an unusual encounted with Hansuk, who abruptly bumped onto his shoulder, making him swing sideways to the left.

"Ah- Taehyung. I'm sorry- are you okay?"

Taehyung nodded, his expression sour as he held his upper arm to show that it hurt.

"What's with the rush?"

Hansuk sighed before realizing how unaware Taehyung looked. Let alone, he wasn't even alerted the slightest.

"I know that you two had a fight but... isn't it too harsh to just ignore it?"

Taehyung felt confused as he furrowed his brows and squinted his eyes to show that he was clueless.

"What are you talking about? Ignore what?"

At that moment, something inside Hansuk's mind snapped. His eyes suddenly widened in shock while covering his mouth in disbelief.
That reaction made Taehyung more worried, so he asked again for an answer.

"Hansuk, what are you talking about?"

Hansuk looked away, only to look back at him with unease. He seemed to ponder wether to tell him or not, but he knew that he had the right to know.

"I can't believe he wanted to leave without telling you about it... he uhm..."

Taehyung frowned, his face now full of worry.

"He? Who is he? Jungkook? He is going to leave? What- where- w-why would he-"

Hansuk sighed, now looking down.

"This morning he came to me saying how he's going to leave for some time to work. He didn't tell me the details but he did mention that he had to rush. By the time i tried to stop him, he already had his bag in hand, leaving the house."

Taehyung's heart suddenly dropped, unable to define his feelings.

"A-and you didn't stop him!? Where did he go- where is he now?"

As he asked that, rushing to know where he is or where he might be, Hansuk just shrugged and sighed.

"I wouldn't know. All i saw is him heading north into the forest. But-"

Without thinking, Taehyung suddenly started to run, only for Hansuk to grab his arm to stop him.

"Even if you headed north now, what is to say that you'll find him? He's probably long gone. And if he left without telling you then he must've wanted to leave it like that-"

Taehyung frowned, his eyes teary.

"So you just want me to sit back and do nothing? I have to try- i-i have to!"

As he said that intently, Hansuk's grip around his arm eased and Taehyung pulled back before starting to run again.
He ran and ran and ran... until he reached the deep parts of the forest, where there was dense fog, making it hard to see his surrounding.

He didn't know what to think but to feel fear of being left. At some point, after running for what seemed like forever, his legs suddenly felt weak and he fell down on his knees, unable to get back up.
He looked down at his hands, watching them in fear as they shivered.
It was scary.

He made a soft crying sound, which echoed into the forest, making him feel alone.

But just then, a hand suddenly covered his eyes.
