~Richie Tozier~
Today was the day. Richie Tozier was going to ask Eddie Kaspbrak to be his boyfriend. He left the note on Eddie's desk telling him to be at his house by 6:00. And holy shit, he was nervous.Richie had pictured this moment millions of times in his head. In these imaginary scenarios, sometimes Eddie said yes, sometimes Eddie said no. Richie had to be prepared for EVERY possible answer he could get. Eddie was fucking crazy. For all Richie knew, he could get blasted in the face with Eddie's inhaler. But now he was actually going to do it.
Richie hadn't told anyone he liked Eddie. Well, except for Stan. He told Stanley everything. However, he might as well told everybody. It was painfully obvious that he had feelings for Eddie; thats what Bev said at least.
"Richie! Are you even listening to me?" Beverly asked, her cheeks as red as her hair.
"Huh? Oh- uh, yeah! Of- Of course im listening! But I mean what else is there to say? Bill's gay, you're not, and now he's going after Stan the Man!" Richie said.
Wasn't that obvious?
"Well, uh.. you're right about two of those things." Beverly said with her head towards the floor.
"What? You're telling me that Bill doesn't like Stanley? THEN WHO!?" Richie yelled.
That's impossible!
"Uh.. No, Rich. I don't know how to say this but uh... I'm... Jesus Christ.. Okay... Im a lesbian." Beverly sighed.
"NO SHIT- REALLY? THATS AWESOME! Let me guess... That girl Clove that sits in the back in math class, you've got it for her don't you?" Richie said, smirking.
"What n- wait, yes? Wait— What the fuck? How'd you know?" Beverly's attention immediately turning to Richie.
"It's so obvious, Marsh." Richie laughed.
"So is your crush on Eddie but I don't say anything about it!" Beverly said before flipping him off.
Richie sighed, "This why no one fucking likes you!" he said jokingly. But before he heard a response, He was slapped across the head with a pillow and landed on the floor.
Richie looked around and saw nothing but Beverly who was smiling and sitting on the couch criss-cross holding a throw pillow in her hands.- -
~Eddie Kaspbrak~
The clock was 5:45. Shit. Holy shit. This was it. He was about to ask Richie out. Holy shit.
Eddie climbed out his window and went to go get his refill for his inhaler before he went to see Richie. On the way there, he ran into Ben Hanscom, or "Haystack".
"Oh hey Ben! Listen, uh, I can't talk for long because me and Rich have plans in like 10 minutes, so I'm kinda running a little late. But I wanted to ask you a question. Has the scar on your hand been burning lately?"
"Hey Eds! I was just coming to grab some chocolate for Bev, she said it was an emergency. But, y'know, it's funny you ask me that because—"
Ben answered Eddie's question, but his attention was focused on something else. He swore he saw something red floating in the sky.
