our

simply eating at a fast food place wasn't enough to fill the afternoon. y/n had suggested heading home, but todoroki wasn't quite happy with the decision. one, he didn't want to go back home and see his father yet. frankly, he also just wanted to spend more time with her, considering he might be to shy to ask her to hangout again.

so he brought up an idea he'd been having on his mind for a while.

"the arcade?" y/n asked, beaming. "the arcade?"

"yes," he said, "i thought you would like it, so..."

she punched a fist through the air, bouncing on her feet excitedly. "okay, then let's go, let's go!" she cheered, pointing forwards. "i brought money, too! since i thought you were going to eat something expensive."

"you did?"

"i did," she said, and then as though she caught sight of something really shocking, her eyes suddenly widened as she patted his shoulder repeatedly. "todoroki, todoroki, that's our bus— it's going away—"

"oh—"

they broke into a run, todoroki's hand holding hers as he pulled her along. "wait for me!" y/n shouted, waving her free hand about in the air in hopes the bus driver would see her. he did, and left the door open for both of them.

they clambered up the bus, with y/n breathing, "thank you," as they got on board. "it's not the first time i had to wait for you," the driver pointed out and she grinned sheepishly.

"you know him?" todoroki asked, pointing at the young man.

she slowly pushed todoroki's finger down. it's rude to point! "yeah, i was always running after his bus in high school," she laughed. "luckily, i live nearby to the college so i walk there with denki now."

"oh," he said. "i see." there was silence for a while, until y/n struck up another conversation.

"todoroki, you're unexpectedly fun—suggesting the arcade, of all places!" she threw her hands up in the air like it was magical he'd brought up going to the arcade.

"what's so great about the arcade?"

"nothing, really," she said, "but i'm just surprised. do you know any games there?"

he smiled. "well, i'm pretty good at the video games, pinball games and...oh, the merchandiser ones..."
