The Four Guardian Houses
These houses are known to have served the Lord and his household for several of centuries, providing a variety of assistance towards the empire and are often in charge of managing finance, guarding important territory, managing resources, keeping citizens in check and taking care to remove those with "unwanted" behaviour quietly.

The Four Houses are:
The Mallorie Household:
This household has been responsible of keeping charge of the financial resources of the empire. They are known for the draconic features along with their habits of isolation, with their servants handling physical meetings except with the Lord and his Generals.

The Alvah Household:
This household is known to be in charge of guarding the various territories of the empire, such as the cities or places that hold various weaponry. They are also known for their canine like features and personalities, they are one of the most loyal and aggressive followers of the Lord.

The Aeron Household:
This household was given the duty in managing the resources for the empire, such as construction materials or more human slaves to be used. They often have avian features to them and treat others with arrogance besides the Lord and his Generals.

The Samael Household:
The eldest of the household, nearly as old the Lord himself. This household is known to be a place for which assassins are raised and taught in order to eliminate targets that have exhibited behaviours and actions that would trouble for the empire. They are known for looking like porcelain dolls, seemingly far too perfect in features yet with unsettling movements. The head of this household, who has yet to be seen, is said to be nearly as powerful as the Lord himself and has served as his second-in-command.

The Exorcists
The Exorcists are humans that have been gifted with supernatural abilities that have yet to be explained. They are often hunted down by the Lord and his army to prevent potential uprisings or are even used as potential soldiers that have been stripped of their individuality. As such, many of gone into hiding in order to avoid such a fate. There are about 25 groups of Exorcists scattered around the world that have become dedicated in trying to fight against the Wretched, however due to their small numbers, they cannot properly wage a battle and remain hidden until their numbers have reached sufficient levels

Each group has a leader within them, each of them communicating with each other through certain channels that can be accesed by them alone. They also collect a vast number of weapons referred to as "Artifacts". These weapons are unique as they are either infused with the essence of a Wretched or even have one sealed within them, thus granting said weapon more lethality such as giving the user abilities they didn't have before. However, over use of these weapons can prove dangerous to the physical health of the user and perhaps even fatal. As such, they are only restricted as a last resort for the Exorcists to use. There is such a person who has been known to wield various of Artifacts without much consequence, this person, who is known as Gabriel, is relentless in his pursuit of vengeance against the Lord who had killed a majority of his family and taken two of his children as well.

The Leaders are often changed, depending on their skillset, mastery of their abilities, or how important said abilities are to their quest. The official head of the Exorcists is only known by the name as the "Founder", who has the ability to prolong their own life as well as others.

Besides the main objective of the eradication of the Wretched, the Exorcists also aim to find a person they call, "The Ancestral Vessel". This person is said to have been held within a state of suspended animation as to heal their wounds, hidden away in a place that has yet to be found. The reason the Exorcists wish to find them, is because this person can lead to their victory. For they have the sufficient power to handle having the Lord of the Wretched sealed within them, as such, searching for this person has become a top priority to them.
