I can either live on without you in this world
Or we can dive into the abyss side by side.
If I stay, you might criticize me as selfish, or even worse, a coward
And if I come along, you'll call me brave
The initiator of an epic love story.
You've always told me how unpredictable life is
How uncertain the future is
And how doubtful your mind is of everything
Tell me one more time, my dear, before breathing your last breath
What do you see, now that Death approaches swinging His scythe at you?
When you lie miserable on the ground with blood bubbling up your gasping mouth,
Is it all sunshine and rainbows?
Or is there naught but a vast nothingness hovering over your lolling head?
At least, you've had hope in life
Now you wouldn't even know what is this state called that you're in.
Then, you could've stood in the frontline and fought back
'W-what if I were defeated?' You try to ask me through your glazed over eyes.
Well, you could build camaraderie with your fallen comrades, couldn't you?
Yet you've taken that last leap, and now you don't even have a body to hold on to in the crisscross of your arms.
