Ruin Guards

                   You ran as fast as you ever did in your life. You could just barely breath. It was hard trying to keep your footing in the rain. The ruin guards were closing up on you but you didn't dare try to defeat them. You look behind again to see one of the ruin guards beginning to launch missals. 

"Ah shit.."

You started running even faster and faster, trying to run in a confusing path but you still get hit. The impact hurts as you tumble and roll over towards the end of a cliff. The ruin guards start to surround you getting closer and closer towards you slowly. You back up before there was no space left to move from. Your foot slips as you try to gain your balance again.

"How deep exactly is this cliff-" You look down stunned

"Holy mother.. That's deep."

You could hardly see the ocean water at the bottom of it. You look back and forth towards the bottom of the cliff and ruin guards. You can't think of what to do basically a die or most likely die situation. How did this happen?!?! You were just peacefully minding your business looking for qingxin you planned to give Xiao later. You didn't expect 4 ruin guards to suddenly wake up.

Now your just standing there trying to catch you breath one of the ruin guards swiftly attacks you. You fall off but barely managed to grab onto the tip of the cliff. Panicking there was only one thing you could think of doing.

"Xiao! Help please!!!!" Nothing, you try shouting louder.

"XIAO! XIIAAAAOOOOO!! I'M ABOUT TO DIE HERE!!"

Still nothing. You start to give up, at this point you're going to die anyways. But you can't give up right? There has to be a way. Just as you had those thoughts you look up to see bright red missals heading towards you. It hits your hand and you let go. 

But.. you're not ready to die yet. 

There's still do much more you want to do and accomplish

Is this really the end of it?

This is the end now, there's no hope in trying to swim up. Your tired and the impact absolutely murdered your back and arms. You start closing your eyes about to accept fate until something else dives in. You hardly recognized the familiar silhouette as you go unconscious.

"....Xiao?"

"You open your eyes again but instead of blue ocean like you were expecting, instead you were staring at a wooden brown ceiling.

"Huh? What's going on?" You wonder as you try to sit up.

"OW MY BACK! WHAT THE FU-" 

"Y/N are you ok?!" Ver Goldet came darting into the room along with Xiao.

"Y/N did something happen?" Xiao asked.

"No no it was just my back," You assured them while rubbing your back, "Damn it hurts."

"Oh, I thought something happened,"  Ver Goldet sighed in relief.

"Well I'm just going to check if Smiley Yanxiao finished making your food Y/N," Leaving the room.

"Wait I'm going with yo-," Ver slams the door shut just leaving you and Xiao.

"So, you saved me?" You asked trying to start up a conversation.

"Yeah I assumed you were calling me again for something stupid like always but I came anyways to find you drowning."

"Oh... maybe I shouldn't take that for granted anymore."

Suddenly you realized, "Wait soo um I drowned correct?" You awkwardly asked

"Yeah, what kind of question is that?"

"So.. um did you have to well, perform CPR on me?" 

Xiao looked away covering his mouth with his hand, ".... Yes."

"Oh, I see," You cover your mouth with your hand feeling the most flustered you felt in your life. And awkward silence fills the room for a few minutes.

"Are you ok?" Xiao asked trying to change the subject.

"Yeah I feel fine well my back hurts a lot," You answered, "But.. I feel scared, scared of that happening again or what if something worse happens?" You started feeling paranoid, multiple thoughts of other dangerous scenarios entering your head making you feel afraid of death. Xiao sigh's and pulls you in for hug in an attempt to comfort you. You look up at Xiao's amber eyes flabbergasted as he says words of comfort.

"Don't worry, as long as you call me you'll be fine," Xiao reassured you, "Next time I won't take my time." You hug Xiao back while giving him a shocked face.

"What's with the weird face?" He questioned.

"Sorry this is just seems like something you would never do," you chuckled, "Who new the mighty, edgy, adeptus would try to comfort a "mere mortal"?" You teased Xiao

"Huh, shut up I'm just trying to make you feel safe that's all," Xiao covered his blush.

"Hey guys I'm back with Y/N foo-," Very Goldet paused for a moment looking at Xiao hugging you from behind, "Sorry if I disturbed an important moment," Ver backed away slowly closing the door and placing your food on the nearby counter.

".....Hey Xiao can you feed me?" You asked very straight forwardly

"Wait what why so suddenly?"

"My arms hurt too."

"No"

"I'll uhh hmm pay Ver to make you a bunch of Almond Tofu?"

"...Fine, but you shouldn't be so careless next time." Xiao lectured, "If you're in danger call my name."

"I will," You giggled. Any excuse as long as it deals with Almond Tofu, it always works with Xiao.

Authors notes: AHH, sorry if it's bad my first ever fic plus I didn't really proofread it either cause it's 2 in the morning and I got too lazy. Hope you enjoyed. I doubt I'll regularly, maybe like every once in a while.
