Linda woke up to find a strange man peering down at her with a worried expression. It was the same man who had delivered the baby to Sneaky Manor she realised.
"Who are you and what are you doing here young man?" she asked indignantly.

The man in question maintained his silence and started to leave the room instead of responding to Linda.
"Hey..Stop there...Stop right now! How dare you walk away when I'm talking to you!" she yelled with mounting irritation.

"I'm sorry Madam but I only answer to Master Jeremy and nobody else. I will take my leave now." the man replied as he strode out of the room to wherever he had come from.

Linda gritted her teeth in anger.
"Really! The servants in this place had no manners at all. Things have to change now that I'm here." she thought resolutely, as she climbed out of her bed determined to snoop around and find the kidnapped baby.

As she made her way slowly around the mansion, she heard the sound of two voices in a serious conversation wafting down the corridor.
Carefully concealed from view she shamelessly eavesdropped on them. "If those brats wouldn't give her information, well she would find it herself." she thought, with a shrug.

"Why did you kidnap her Jeremy? I thought you loved Rose. Do you realize that the day she finds out about your actions is the day you'll lose her forever?"

"When did I ever have her to lose her? Does it really matter?" asked Jeremy humourlessly.

Then what about Jack? Do you think she will forgive you in the future when she finds out that you separated her from her family and denied her the chance of having two parents who loved her? Then you would have not only lost Rose but also Jack." said the other man in conversation with Jeremy.

"Never! Jack will never know the truth about her family or my actions. I will never allow her to leave me. I couldn't have Rose but I intend to keep a piece of her with me forever. I will be her guardian for as long as I live. She will never lack for anything in this life Lewis." yelled Jeremy, his anger flaring at the thought of Jackie leaving him forever.

"Who was this Rose? And why did her grandson want to keep a piece of her with him forever? Who was this Lewis who seemed to be a part of this complicated mess? I need some answers and I need them right now" Linda thought as she barged into the room determinedly.

"Jeremy! What is all this I just heard about some Rose and Jack and Kidnapping and who is this young man called Lewis? Your servants should be trained better boy!" she huffed.

"Servants? As in Lewis?" Jeremy asked with a snicker looking at the man in question with amusement.
"Master Jeremy forgive my impudence to your grandmother but I couldn't answer her questions without your permission" said Lewis mock respectfully.

"Enough now Sinclair, stop pretending to be my servant." said Jeremy with a sigh.
"Grandmother, he isn't my servant but a friend and his name is Sinclair Lewis. Don't take him too seriously. Now tell me dear grandmother when are you leaving?"
asked Jeremy with an intent look in his eye.

"How about NEVER my dear grandson?
I am not leaving, atleast not until you return the child to it's parents" said Linda with a stubborn tilt to her chin.

"Then looks like you'll be staying here a long long time because Jack will not be going anywhere. You better stay out of my way old lady" snapped Jeremy as he strode out of his room with a frown.

Linda smiled with contentment and turned to leave the room when her eyes met Sinclair's across the room.
"You look very pleased with yourself ma'am. I wonder what mischief you are upto?" said Sinclair with a quirk of his brow.

"Well that boy thinks he is smart but if he is smart then I'm his grandmother aren't I? He let me stay here didn't he? This is only the beginning my boy only the beginning" she cackled as she hobbled out of the door.
