Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

"She'd be watching me?" I thought. Wow who was she to say I'm trying to steal her boyfriend, ha please like he'd even go for me. Although I have a pretty cool job! Whatever though, I will NOT let her ruin my perfect day. Tonight we had Shamu Christmas Miracles. It had been my favorite show before I worked here and now I get to perform the "Noel" segment with Trua and get to dance along and get the crowd pumped up to "When you believe" the end song while they all get splashed by our biggest whale Tilikum! I can't wait. I met so many great people today from guest to new coworkers that weren't here my first week. I still can't believe I'm doing this, and I can't believe I met Robert Pattinson. I wonder if he'll be back for Miracles. I hope so, but of course she'd be with him. Today has already been great. I had already got Trua used to me so we let the whales go play in the show pool and we just watched. Then I looked up at the top of the stadium and saw a few guests including Robert looking in at the stadium watching the whales. I turned around toward the pool and smiled. "What are you smiling about?" asked my co-worker Amber. "Robert Pattinson is up there look!" I replied. "Oh... My... Gosh..." she said excitingly. " He talked to me after One Ocean." I said. "You're joking!" She screamed. "NO IM NOT IT WAS AMAZING" I said really enthusiastically! We both squealed. Then we looked up then looked at each other and laughed. Then we left the show pool leaving three trainers to watch the whales. We went into the fish room to get the whales snack which was jello for each whale I got Trua's, Kristy got Malia's, another trainer named Jessica who I didn't really talk to yet got Kayla's, Lauren got Katina's, Julia got Makaio's, Taylor got Tilikum's, and Mike got Nalani's. The whales were soon sent to the back to receive their treats. They get very excited when they see it! I gave Trua one piece at a time and he kept vocalizing it was so cute! Then I heard Taylor say "Is that good Tilikum?" and I heard him vocalize I laughed. Then I thought that this is so much more fun than I thought it would be. Then it hit 7:45 the Miracles show time. I got really nervous when I heard "Sleigh Ride" play because Noel was soon after it and it was the first time I would be performing alone. At least during "Side by Side" Kristy was there too not right next to me but she was there! My heart was racing and I got butterflies in my stomach then I looked at the pool and Trua was looking me right into the eyes and slid up onto the small platform. I gave him a rub down and knew it would all be okay! Trua could make anyone feel better. Then I heard my cue and went out there. I saw the audience and when I got on the slide out sitting in the second row about the platform was Robert but, there was no Kristen. I was confused but finished my segment the way I was supposed to. It felt great being on stage with Trua. It was just us that's all that mattered to me. Then "Carol of the Bells" started this was the only part that used water works and the trainers in the water was Mike and Nalani and Lauren and Katina! It was an exciting and fast segment and in a few months I could perform in it! I couldn't wait. Then I heard "when you believe" which features a live singer. I was supposed to be the one dancing in front of the slide out. Great how awkward would this be. Maybe he forgot about me I mean he meets thousands of people every day. Anyway the dancing began and Tilikum came out and splashed the crowd with his giant fluke and his giant body. The crowd was pumped and Robert was SOAKED! I couldn't help but laugh! After the show Amber, Mike and I stayed out to talk to guest. Robert walked down again, he didn't forget. "Hi, Kelsea!" he said in a low voice. "Oh, hey Robert!" I replied. "That was a great show, even better than the first one!" he commented. "Thanks! Yeah, it's always been my favorite since I was a little girl" I told him. He smiled and laughed. " No Kristen?" I asked. " Nah she left. We broke up." He said not sad at all. "Oh I'm sorry." I told him trying to sound sympathetic.
